Low cost IR outdoor camera
Very much a webcam in a metal box, with IR LEDs and night mode. 1024 at 30FPS possible on a Pi4, less on a Pi 2 ZeroW. Don't expect to cover a football field with these! A small back yard, porch and 3 or 4M beyond is fine. You get a long, low volt-drop heavy USB2 cable and need a Pi, laptop, mini computer, Mac or PC. Software, I use open source MotioneEye on a Pi. No ongoing costs, dodgy cloud websites or security leaks.Good.

Ready for the dustbin
Bleached image, poor night vision, unable to get a decent quality picture day or night. I have a 1MP ELP camera attached to a Raspberry Pi that works just fine so I thought I'd upgrade to a 2MP. After months of trying various methods to improve it I have given up and will throw it away as soon as I can find something better.
