Q: Can I buy a replacement brass cap..I missplaced mine.

did you ever find the replacement cap? I lost mine as well

Q: what size is the hole saw?

Mine did not come with a hole saw. The instructions stated a 2 1/4" whole saw but that was too small. 2 1/2" was needed.

Q: Can you remove the receptacle inside and just make it a straight-through hole? I want to use it to run hdmi/coax wires down into the basement.

The receptacle is super cheesy and pops right out. I'm assuming that your feed is exposed to the room and you want to make it look as nice as possible, otherwise there would be other conduit devices to use

Q: Is the receptacle TR tamper resistant?

No, its not TR. No sliding gate in the slot.
