Q: do i get this straight.I set it up with my wifi at home (n.y.) .I leave and go far away(FL.) and i can see the temperature of my home on my phone?

I have only rarely been able to get data over WiFi. I want to use this to monitor the temperature at my vacation home, and the bluetooth works fine while I am there. Also, I have had the device set up on WiFi briefly in the past (on my 2G network). But it has not updated data in three weeks, in spite of the fact that I put brand new batteries in a month ago.

Q: Can i plug this in to ac power, as i need a 6 month power duration as battery for 3 months will not be enough. do you have an ac adapter available?

There are devices which replace the batteries and then connect to a power adapter. You can also use a AA battery box and the pseudo batteries. After 2 winters of eating batteries in 100 - 125 days, I will be converting all 8 of mine to the AA battery box setup. Will require a little work. Jim is right.

No. If you change the phone to connect, please delete the device on the former phone.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, you can use your hotspot in an RV to monitor temperature.
