Nice little steel gear
These days, I usually 3d print gears out of plastic. That way I can create a specific gear with the number of teeth that I need to mesh with virtually an other hobby gear. But plastic gears, especially 3d printed types, are much less durable and can easily break under stress. I had several .5 mod gears for some servo projects, so this gear was a natural fit. And being steel, it will not break (that in itself is not an advantage - if the gear doesn't break something else probably will).

junkie set screw threads
gear itself seams to be of okay quality but the set screw threads are complete garbage lasted about 1min before they striped striped out. used gears to make a gear drive for a powered furled leader jig to make furled leaders for dry fly fishing .I think i am just going to go back to a pulley system instead of a gear drive system.

Not impressed
Despite the bad reviews decided to try this for my project and it was able to do the job but I fear it is not going to last too long before it strips.
