Victorinox Swiss Army Recruit Knife 53241

I utilize the Recruit and the Rambler interchangeably. I bought this one specifically to add to my knife collection and keep nice and unused.However, I have about 10 of these that I use as the around the house knife and keep anywhere I might have a small task. They are all well-loved and well used. This used to be my EDC, but now I have moved to a larger locking blade knife. This was the first knife I gave my young son at age 8 and he still carries his (minus both the toothpick and the tweezers). I also give this knife as a gift to every high school and college graduate, I know for their cars.I use these knives for opening mail, cutting tape on a box, opening presents, etc. I really like the scissors for quick tasks. The tweezers are good for pulling splinters.

My first SAK was the rangergrip model with corkscrew and woodsaw (other tools too but that's the distinction for the model I have). I absolutely loved it but found it wasn't practical as an edc with the exception of it ALWAYS coming outdoors with me. I decided to get a swiss champ and a recruit for more every day use. My recruit is becoming the workhorse for every task imaginable to which it is suited...I find myself becoming creative just to use it. The swiss champ lives on my belt in a cheap sheath, that came with a multitool I was gifted but was too low quality to be of much use, for everything (the swiss champ) I can't do around the house with the recruit, which lives in my pocket and admitably there isn't much that the recruit can't do...but it is very handy having two tools for pretty much every mudane random encounter that a tool is needed or makes things easier. Anxiety already ensues if I don't feel the weight of my recruit in my pocket. Extremely satisfied customer and WILL be buying again when I wear this one out which I'm convinced I will as I use it for EVERYTHING. I'm sold...nothing but victorinox for me when it comes to this type of product. My rangergrip, recruit, and swiss champ are essentially all I will ever need for edc small nonspecific tasks and I find myself excited to reach for them. Thickness, weight, size are all perfect for your edc workhorse and is a cheap product that DOES NOT feel cheap but rather feels like a quality tool. 5 out of 5 and would give 10 out of 10 if I could

Its a good small knife to keep in pocket. Very useful to tighten things up or cut up boxes and such. Small enough to not be bothersome in pocket but big enough to get many task done.

Best knives on the market. Comes sharp and stays sharp. Doesn't rust.
