If you enjoy contemporary billionaire romance that goes a bit darker than usual, get this one!
This was a much darker story than the previous ones. Did I mind? Nope, because it was awesome! We've all seen and read a bit here and there about Vuk, the Serb, the man who doesn't speak, the man that nobody wants to be in the same room as (unless they want his money). Now it's his turn for his HEA, although let me tell you, he needs to work for it :)Vuk finds himself in a position he never thought he would be: best man at his friend's wedding. If only it were that simple, but being obsessed with the bride and forced to help and be close to her during wedding preparations... yeah, he would rather stab his eye with a paper umbrella instead.Ayana has toured the world as a successful model, but that world isn't as glamorous as it seems behind the scenes. Agreeing to marry Jordan would give her the means to escape that trap. But getting to the actual wedding seems rife with doubts, not to mention problems, many of them in the form of the best man.I loved reading about Ayana and Vuk's journey throughout the book. It wasn't easy, as there were secrets upon secrets between them, but it was so worth it!Something I really like about this series is that, even though each book is about a different couple, we still get to see our leading men and women from the previous books again and see how they're doing. Plus, there's a little teaser here and there for the next book in the series. I love it!I had a bit of a slow start with this book, not gonna lie, but I soon got caught in its clutches and well, here we are.A lot happens throughout, but the pacing is excellent. The book is a whopping 530 pages, spread over 54 chapters and an epilogue, and is told from both Ayana's and Vuk's points of view.As always, the author captivated us with interesting settings, tense situations, and authentic and amazing characters. I cannot recommend her books enough! If you enjoy contemporary billionaire romance that goes a bit darker than usual, this one is for you! Enjoy :D

Did Not Expect to Love This—But I Did!
This book honestly surprised me in the best way. I’ve read other books by this author before and she’s usually kind of a “meh” for me—but this one might just be my favorite of hers. I went in with low expectations after not loving the first two books, but I kept seeing people rave about this one, so I figured, why not? And wow—I’m so glad I gave it a chance.Ayana was such a beautifully written character—strong, grounded, and deeply relatable. I connected with her in so many ways. And Vuk? Easily one of my favorite book men by Ana Huang. His devotion, his quiet intensity, and even his interactions with Shadow made me smile! The relationship between Ayana and Vuk had so much yearning and pinning, which is something I always crave in romance. Their slow build from respectful friendship to more, especially with the way Vuk handled the situation with Jordan, made their dynamic feel authentic and earned. The protective moments, the mutual vulnerability, the way they slowly opened up to each other—it all worked. They’re officially one of my favorite couples. That said, the book was too long. There were definitely parts that dragged and felt like filler, and I think it would’ve been tighter and stronger if it were about 100 pages shorter. Also, the ending got a bit cheesy and over-the-top for my taste, which brought my rating down just a bit.Still, I really liked this one—and now I’m hoping for more books like it. Maybe even a dark romance spinoff starting with Roman? Either way, I’m glad I gave this one a chance!

Morally grey is back indeed!!!
Right from the get-go, this book pulls you into a world brimming with longing, peril, and tangled emotions. The spark between the two main characters is off the charts—a slow-burn attraction that simmers below the surface and eventually boils over. But what truly sets this story apart isn’t just the crackling tension — it’s the emotional depth woven into every chapter that really hits home.Ana Huang does a brilliant job of pulling readers into the hearts and minds of both leads. Ayana is no pushover — she’s fierce, focused, and carries her own emotional baggage beneath the surface. Ayana has always been Jordan’s closest female friend, so when his grandma slipped a clause into her will saying he had to tie the knot to get his inheritance, Ayana was the obvious go-to. There’s zero romance between them — just a straight-up business deal. But since they’re both constantly in the spotlight, they agree to keep up appearances and act like they’re head over heels. Meanwhile, Vuk — Jordan’s college buddy and Ayana’s long-time admirer — has been secretly carrying a torch for her since day one.Vuk, on the other hand, is a closed book, haunted by a past that slowly comes to light. His quiet strength and inner demons are laid bare with striking honesty, and watching him slowly let his guard down is both gut-wrenching and beautiful. Vuk had me in a chokehold from page one — so complex, so broken, and yet so real. I couldn’t get enough of his mysterious past, and Ana revealed it all with such emotional precision. His transformation throughout the book? Mind-blowing. And the way he loves Ayana — fiercely, selflessly, completely — had me kicking my feet. If there’s a Vuk out there, I’d like to sign up, please.Drama? Check. Tension? Off the charts. Forbidden romance and soft-hearted chaos men? You bet. This book had everything I love wrapped up in one deliciously addictive package. I’m running out of superlatives here — it might just be Ana Huang’s best yet. Her books keep getting better, and I can’t get enough. With every twist and turn, the action and suspense elevate the tension of their relationship, seamlessly blending thrilling moments with emotional depth. This is a love story grounded in trust, healing, and the bravery it takes to be vulnerable. King of Envy stays with you long after the last page—sensual, touching, and powerful. Readers won’t just be drawn to the characters for their intensity, but for their delicate, human side. A stunning five-star read that proves Ana Huang is at the top of her game in romance.
