Work perfectly
I upgraded my computer to a gaming computer so I could run MSFS 2020. Let me also mention I am running Windows 11. I tried using my older MS Sidewinder Flight Stick with the game but for some reason the aircraft were uncontrollable. I switched to an older Logitech flight stick I also had and even that was unusable. In the course of trying to figure out why the MS flight stick wasn't working it broke so I was forced to look for a new flight stick. I looked through all the flight sticks on Amazon and for some reason this one I seemed to like the most. I looked at reviews on the web and some people were saying this stick didn't work with Steam games and others were saying it didn't work with Windows 11. However all the other reviews were very positive. I figured for $40 it was worth taking a chance, if it didn't work at least I had a new flight stick I could use with MSFS X.When the stick arrived I plugged it into the USB port and Windows 11 recognized it immediately. I launched MSFS 2020 and went to the control options and the stick was there and the buttons were already pre-programmed. MSFS gives you the option to change the button settings but I left them as they were, it just took me a while to get use to them since it was a change from my Sidewinder stick. The first takeoff I tried was perfect and I flew to another local airport and landed perfectly. The flight stick worked perfectly and flawlessly. There is also a knob on the bottom the stick you can use to adjust the tension to your liking. On my computer this stick is compatible with Windows11 and Steam. The only con I have with this flight stick is the arrangement of the buttons. Some of them like the brake release, landing gear toggle and elevator trim kind of require an awkward reach to get to. While I can reassign them I like keeping them off the stick itself. I hope on the future Thrustmaster considers moving these buttons to a more ergonomic location on the base of the stick. All in all I give this flight stick a 10/10 and is an excellent value for the money.

Nice, intuitive controller. Great for beginner or novice flyer.
I've been using this controller now for a little over a year and I absolutely love it. It's especially intuitive if you're flying a stick plane, but can be used in lieu of a yoke as well. Buttons are fully mappable, and sensitivity can be easily adjusted to your preferences. Works well with FSX, FS2020 and FS2024

Don't listen to the bad reviews!!!
Honestly it's a really REALLY good HOTAS for only $80, no it's not made to be top notch which is what most of negative reviewers were expecting, however it works great for games like elite dangerous, warthunder, ms flight sim, and Star wars squadrons. If you run into any issues with squeaking just put a couple drops of wd40 or oil on the hinge parts and it will be gone.I seen some people complaining about stick drift and honestly they were most likely yanking the stick around super hard when they first used it, it's not top notch!!!! It's not meant to be yanked on super hard.Another one was complaining about the throttle stiffness, honestly it's not going to super stiff on any HOTAS, I have a warthog HOTAS as well and the throttle isn't even stiff on that one, none of the throttles are going to be super stiff on any HOTAS so please don't expect that. All in all this HOTAS is absolutely amazing for the price and will last a very long time as long as you ACTUALLY take care of it properly.

The experience I've been waiting for
I want to start the review off by saying this is the first flight stick I have ever purchased. I’ve been eyeing Thrustmaster's line of flight sticks for a while and decided to take a leap as this model in particular was on sale. There were a few games that I avoided playing because I just felt the experience would be better with a flight stick and so I want to give you a run down of what worked, what did not, and overall what to expect if you are using a PC or PS5.In terms of just basic use, I went with keeping the thruster and the stick together but found that my right shoulder started to bother me after extended use. It would have been nice to get a little more space between the thruster and the stick as it feels far more comfortable on your lap for couch play when the two pieces are together than separate. My first tests were done using PC. I took Thurstmaster's recommendation for making sure I had the latest firmware to avoid any unforeseen issues coming up. For those who are into video game emulation, you will be happy to know that Hotas 4 does support a majority of the emulators that are out there. While some emulators like Dolphin and Retroarch worked fine with at least configuring the controller, other emulators like the PCSX2 and RPSC3 required me to use x360ce an xbox 360 controller emulator. Having to use the additional control emulator will invite lag to the experience so just keep this in mind. Also, for those looking to play Dosbox games, I would air on the side of caution as legacy support with new controllers is difficult at times and after trying to run wind commander 3, it has made me weary of dealing with older titles.Though I haven’t gotten a chance to try regular pc games, it’s important to impart that configuration is going to play a huge part so make sure you make notes on the Hotas 4 buttons and the controls for each game you want to play.Onto the PS5 where things were much more plug n play friendly! I only had two games to test with which was Ace Combat 7 and Star Wars Squadron. Both had flight control support and while I believe you might to have configure additional buttons for Squadron, I jumped right in and didn’t really feel the need to do so. I actually lament not giving the PS5 a go first as it actually gave me a better understanding of the relation to pad controls. While I'm on the PS5, there is a caveat that you should be aware of if you are interested in getting this flight stick solely for use on this console. For those who are unaware, PS4 controllers are not compatible with PS5 games so unless you plan to stick to just PS4 games, it would be wise of you to keep this in mind.So far I’m pretty happy with my first flight stick. I wish they would have stretched the combined base just a bit. It is definitely a chore configuring things on the PC but after my first official run through of After Burner II, I have to say emphatically it is worth it!I haven’t had much of a chance to really look at the PS4 library of games to justify the purchase of this for the two Sony consoles but if you really enjoy one of the two games I mentioned earlier, I wouldn’t blame you if you wanted it just for the sake of the experience because ultimately the experience is what it is all about.
