how do you connect 2 area that need a space (no lights) ? Do they make plain extensions? I need like 3- 4 cords

Our 100ft permanent outdoor light include one extension cable. You can use it.

Is the 150ft maximum length including the 12ft extension? Or can we have 150ft of lights with 12ft extension inbetween (essentially 162ft actual)?

I had to use the extension peice in order to get it all the way into my attic with the full 150 feet. It was used at the end of the run. Works fine 😁

Can you cut them and reattach?

Yes, you CAN cut and reattach but with regard. In other words; you need to make sure that you are reattaching in groups of four. I started out with 100ft + in front of my home, I needed an additional four feet. Since I bought a second set to do the back of my home, I had a 16ft strand left. So, taking notice that where I left off on my 100ft strand was a female plug, I chose to cut four lights from my left-over strand beyond the male plug, not that this matters but I wanted to make sure I could just plug into the existing 100ft I already ran. I then refreshed the lights in the Govee app and they all worked perfectly. Voila', I was able to add four more lights and I am still under the 147 ft requirement.
