Ozeri12” Green Earth Frying Pan, with Textured Ceramic Non-Stick Coating from Germany (100% PTFE, PFOA and APEO Free)

EDIT - Updating my previous review after receiving our replacement item - pan works perfectly now, I use only the tiniest amount of oil rubbed around with kitchen towel and nothing sticks at all. It's also really easy to clean. Customer service was great, I didn't expect anything as we had bought the original pan nearly a year before I wrote the original review. However after a couple of emails we were sent a brand new pan with the return label to send the old one back. The new pan has a smooth non-stick surface, compared to the old textured one.OLD - Bought this as a replacement for our really old non-stick pan - I was super excited about having a non-stick pan that actually worked! Unfortunately we've found that everything sticks to this one even with a decent oil coating, no matter how low the temperature and how carefully we cook things. Eggs are an absolute nightmare to clean off and I've actually gone back to using my stainless steel pan as at least I can attack that with a wire scrubber to remove any really stubborn bits. We've tried pancakes and homemade tortilla wraps but still no good - I think it might be the textured surface that makes things stick rather than slide. After nearly a year of use we've given up and are going to buy a different non-stick pan. On the plus side, this pan is nice and heavy and the heat distribution is good, so we'll continue to use it for more liquid-based cooking like sauces or currys etc.

I was looking for a non-teflon but non-stick pan as I wanted to avoid the toxic chemicals usually found in non-stick frying pans. After much research I plumped for the Green Earth Pan. Great green credentials and a great pan! A few months on and after lots of use it's still very non-stick, easy to clean and great to cook with. It does scratch very easily however if it comes into contact with metal. I've found that if stacked on a draining board against other metal pans the rim does lose its coating. But as it comes with a clear warning to keep away from metal, I can't really fault it for that. All in all, highly recommended. I plan to buy one of their smaller pans too.

I am delighted with this as it’s big enough to accommodate a variety of items and it’s easy to clean. It’s lighter than many equivalent pans.

I bought this to replace an ageing Tefal pan. I've always used Tefal pans and have found that their non stick coating is fantastic but they don't last long and with regular domestic use the non stick coating goes after a couple of years. So I thought 'time for a change'. This pan seemed to have so many positive reviews and eco-friendly branding and thought I'd give it a go. I must say that I am rather disappointed. The non stick coating is rather poor and despite following the instructions (about coating it with a tiny bit of oil and then getting rid of excess before using it etc) I found that food will stick on it easily. i.e. I never had an issue with bacon sticking on a new Tefal pan but it did stick on this. I really wanted to like this pan but I don't think it's as great as some of the other reviews imply. Don't get me wrong, it's OK and will clean easily but I'm a little underwhelmed by the performance.EDIT: 3 months later the non stick coating at the bottom of the pan is still there but completely ineffective. Pretty much everything sticks now. Very very disappointed. I will be asking for a warranty return and downgrading my review rating.

when i just recieve it, it work well. however, after 10 days later, it does not stay as non-stick as it describe. when i pan fry vegtables, it is fine. unfortunately, when i pan fry fish or egg, it is so disapointed.

not sure how this new ceramic coating should behave, but got white specks here and there after few uses and I only use wooden cutlery when frying etc general quality is well done, a bit better then competition, however those white marks came out too soon?

I've been wishing for years that I had a nice frying pan for pancakes, and now I do!I gathered up my recipe and ingredients and set to work after receiving my pan. When my ingredients were mixed and ready, I heated up my Green Earth frying pan and started pouring in the pancake batter. The pan was heating evenly and as I moved it a little to adjust it over the fire, I couldn’t help but notice the cozy handle (hubby laughed at me when I told him to come feel the cozy handle)! But it’s a little soft, and gives a nice grip so that you don’t burn yourself or find it awkward to lift.Then I remembered why I hadn’t used my fresh new pan yet…I didn’t have a silicon turner! I didn’t want to damage the non-stick surface of this pan, but I hadn’t yet made it into the city to purchase one….so... keepin’ it real…I searched the utensil drawer and found a spatula I thought I could use. It wasn’t ideal and it meant I couldn’t flip those apple pancakes over as quickly as I should have…but it did the job.It's the perfect size for family pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken quesidillas, and so much more.This was the first time in YEARS that my pancakes didn’t turn out a very dark burnt colour. Honestly, they would have been nice and golden if I’d had the right utensils! Now I have my eye on some pretty rainbow utensils by Ozeri....hint, hint, Christmas is coming....One more thing that I should mention is that one of the reasons I use cast-iron pans is because I don’t like the thought of the ‘stuff’ put into non-stick pans to make them that way, but this pan is 100% PTFE and PFOA free (no heavy metals or chemicals).Did I mention that everyone was happy coming in to steal the fresh pancakes but disappeared when it was time to clean up? But not to worry, cleaning up my new Ozeri products was a breeze! I could get used to a life of golden pancakes and non-stick, easy-clean pans!

I have had good experience with those pans in general ,they are safe, but i have to say, they are extremly sensitive . I keep all my pans in a drawer with their protection. The pan got scratched still after 5 days. That is not acceptable!!!

Me encanta, es un sartén grande (12 pulgadas) , un poco pesado pero lógico por el tamaño, con una excelente distribución del calor aún en estufas con quemador pequeño. No se pegan los alimentos, su asa es larga y muy confortable y segura. Para mi lo mas importante era encontrar un sartén que tuviera el espacio suficiente para asar por ejemplo 3 pechugas o 3 pescados al mismo tiempo y que la cocción fuera uniforme y lo cumple al 100%. Además se calienta rapidísimo.

Ich habe Ersatz für meine 3 Jahre alte Bratpfanne gesucht in der die Beschichtung quasi nicht mehr vorhanden war. Mit der Überlegung einmal etwas mehr Geld auszugeben und eine gute Pfanne zu kaufen entschied ich mich für die Ozeri Green Earth 30cm Pfanne.Nach 2 Tagen kam sie heute an und ich war natürlich gleich neugierig ob sie hält was sie verspricht. Erstmal die beiliegenden Benutzungs- und Pflegeinformationen gelesen, da dies meine erste Pfanne mit Keramikbeschichtung ist.Zum ausprobieren sollten es erstmal ein paar Spiegeleier sein ;). Der Anleitung zufolge spart man mit der Pfanne bis zu 50% Fett zum Braten. Ich brate immer mit Rama Culinesse und habe ca 1/3 der Menge benötigt wie sonst.Die Pfanne wird sehr schnell heiß und die Eier sind weder festgebacken oder angebrannt. Man musste sogar aufpassen das sie nicht aus der Pfanne rausrutschen wenn man sie bewegt. Also kein ankleben oder ähnliches.Danach die Pfanne einfach abkühlen lassen, mit Zewa auswischen und fertig, ab in den Schrank.Ich hoffe ich werde lange Freude damit haben. Bis jetzt klare Kaufempfehlung.
