I was able to use this to remove some simple dirt and grime, but heavily stained sweat marks on my older hats held firm.

First, this worked really well to clean my husbands dirty ball cap. He wore it while he was working outside on a day that was particularly hot and the hat got sweaty. Although this says you do not need water, I gave that hat a quick rinse to get the soap out and to ensure there weren’t any water marks left on the hat since it is bright red.My hats need a little less heavy duty cleaning and this is perfect for them too. Although not heavily soiled, I do tend to get makeup marks on the inner brim of my hats. This works well to remove those marks without the need to wet and wash the entire hat. I used it on my ball cap and my UV wide brimmed sun hat and the results were nice.

Useful for anyone who loves wearing hats but struggles to keep them clean and fresh. The brush does a fair job removing dirt and grime, leaving hats looking somewhat clean. If you're going for a "new look", you'll need to scrub extra hard.

My son wears a lot of baseball caps and the lighter ones tend to get dirty so I was looking for an easy way to clean them that was also non-toxic. I liked that this was natural cleaning solution.The first time I used it, I was struck by the strong chemical scent. It was really over-powering. I squeezed some of the foam on the hat and used their little brush to start brushing it. The brush is practically useless because if you really scrub at the stain, the scrubber piece flies off the bottle. The you have to stretch it back on but to get it not to fly off again you have to be really gentle with it. So basically you need a secondary brush if you really want to go at the stains. I used this on some light dirt— something that should have easily come out but to no avail. And the hat now smells like the cleaner. Hoping it will air out in a couple more days but not a promising start. The list of ingredients is the vaguest I have seen with descriptions of the ingredients rather than the names of the ingredients. Have never seen that before. The lack of transparency and the smell lead me to believe that this is full of chemicals. Between that and the fact that it doesn’t work, it’s going right in the trash.

It's a good hat cleaner for surface stains. You rub on the cleaner and rub it with the brush cleaner to help get your hat clean. There's enough to clean for a while. It's transportable so if you go on hikes or some place where your hat might get dirty then this is good to take with you so you can immediately take care of the dirt problem before it sets in.
