Q: Anyone have some good numbers on battery life? I'm on the fence because I know a lot of energy must be req'd to make it work so strongly.

I only use the 12.0 amp hour battery in that same vacuum it lasts a long time go big or go home.

The smallest battery Milwaukee makes is 1.5 amp hour. You can run any of the 18 V Milwaukee batteries on that vacuum.

Q: it says "washable filter" in the description but in the reviews people say that it is a paper filter...please clarify if possible?...thanks!

Mine too looks like a paper filter. But this is a wet/dry vacuum so I'd think the filter would be able to get wet. I haven't used it to vacuum up any liquids yet.
