Amazing detail and super fun to build
Such an iconic car! They really focused on details that match the real car.Engine, underside, and interior were really spot on.Even had the parcel shelf and clock!

Excellent Beetle build.
A very good rendition of VW beetie should be. Easily to assemble & clean fitting parts, very nice raised trim lines with only 2 small mold lines on the front fenders, that were easily fixed threw minor scrape & sanding.I would have prefered pad-printed WW tires but the decals were fine & easy to use. All the the decal's were easy 2 use due to more glue on the decal. In my opinion Revell makes very outstanding kits with dedicated perfection with each one made, I know I own 4.😆

This kit may have more pieces than a real VW!
This kit is amazing. The pieces all fit together nicely and takes primer and paint nicely. There were no warped parts or missing pieces. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to build a very detailed kit!

Great kit
I used this to make a custom body for my rc car and coukdnt be happier. The model was complex but fairly easy to get together. The hardest part was hunting down the right pieces by number

Fun model. Not for beginners or very young kids (recommend 10+ years old).
This is not suitable for beginners!! The pieces all fit, except:-Mounting the side mirrors (no post/hole or tabs).-Front interior called "package shelf" made no sense in the diagram.-Some engine parts simply did not "line up". Prepare to improvise!Tips:1. Prepare to use an Exact-o knife to trim parts. Some parts (tail lights, logo, trunk handles, door handles) are very small and tricky to hold. Small needlenose pliers worked for me.2. Some thin parts can easily break when you pull them from the "tree". Be careful--use small snips (sidecutters) to remove them.3. Fit the parts together before you glue them. Figure out if they need special support while the glue sets. Model glue dries quickly and makes a mess if you try to adjust fits. Use a toothpick to add small dabs of glue on tiny parts!4. If you follow the instructions carefully, the front wheels will turn side-to-side (not connected to steering wheel).5. Don't try to paint all parts at once. Don't worry about matching all the color charts. It's just a model! Give the interior a custom look!6. Remove paint or chrome where the parts are glued.7. Give the body a nice spray paint job of the color of your choice. I didn't glue the body on, so I can put different "things" inside the car.8. Leave the windows out! They make it look toy-like, degrading the overall detailed look. Conclusion: I wouldn't recommend this model for children under 10. It is fairly difficult because of the tiny delicate parts, but worth the effort. It would be a good team project with guidance from someone with some model building experience.

Love it
I painted mine green and the interior tan the same as my 1971 Volkswagen that I bought brand new it looks fantastic. However, the parts were way too small and very difficult for a senior to first see the number and second to put it in my fingers and put it on the car.
