Haven’t gotten lost yet so can’t be that bad

I'm not a pilot, but I am very interested in air navigation, so I bought this to help me with my self-learning.It's certainly useful, reasonably clear, seems sturdy enough for a plastic ruler and convenient. However, I wish I had bought a longer one. This ruler goes up to 30 miles on the .250 scale maps and 60 miles on the .500 maps. From my 'home' airport, I would like to have been able to measure 50 and 100 miles. That's not a complaint about this ruler as I knew what I was buying. From a 'would have been nice' perspective, it would have been good to have the 5 mile divisions ennumerated. Finally, The inner scales (km and SM) are both for the .500 maps - I would have preferred either both SM or both km for both .250 and .500 maps.The ruler does seem susceptible to marks and scratches, as others have commented, and I could have done without the website and logo - the website would have been sufficient.In summary, this ruler is not without its faults, but it does the job. Rather expensive for a ruler, though . . .

straight out of the box, took the protective plastic off and it was covered in scratches, unbelievable. dont sell it marked as new if its arriving wrecked.

I haven’t even had a chance to use it yet and it’s already covered in scratches. It scratches way, way too easily in my opinion.

Arrived promptly with another item. Big problem is that these are tiny, think of a largish watch face - that’s it. As a pilot I can’t imagine ever being able to glance at one of these for an approximate heading. Rubbish.
