Q: Does this work on batting gloves?

I am not sure but I am guessing it would. I will give you some examples I have used it on: volleyball kneepads, soccer cleats that have gotten wet, knee brace, underarm sweat smell on Fri fit material. Spray it on and let it dry before use. It may take a couple of times spraying and drying before it helps. It definitely has helped with everything I used it on. Vinegarnever helped

Q: For the seller/manufacturer: Can this be used on finished leather?

This stuff is absolutely amazing! I have literally used it on everything from clothing to shoes (including leather Doc Martins) to backpacks to rugs and drapes and furniture. I have even sprayed it in my car to frshen it up.

Q: Should I use it before or after washing the clothes?

After washing the clothes. And good for sneakers too.

Q: Can the Spray get rid of rain smell?

HEX Deodorizing Spray is great to use on items that are not commonly laundered or for in between washes. Pending what the item is, you can certainly use this to address that odor or start with our Detergent or Gear Wash and then transition to the Deodorizing Spray.
