Great rod my only complaint is the style of hook keeper. Since it's not attached to the rod fully it has just the lower side open when I would do a long cast when my braided line would come flying off the spool it would sometimes wrap around the rod just enough to catch that lip dead stopping my cast. First couple times was kinda just annoying but the 3rd time it happen it snapped my line sending my $15 whopper plopper off to the ether so I grabbed my pliers and ripped it right off... It's very light weight, seems pretty durable and for the value for the money, it had almost all the features I'd like on a rod. Oh also the last few eyelets are very small so even doing a fg knot as small and tight as possible still catches so can't use as long of a leaders as I'd like. Feels good in the hands

I was looking for a new 7' medium heavy spinning rod for a trip coming up. I don't normally buy 2 pc rods but thought I would for this trip. I was impressed with the other KastKing products I have seen and used so I decided to try this one and I am glad I did. It came packaged very well in a tube, in a box. The tube is sturdy enough you could use it as a rod tube to carry the rod in on a trip and not worry about it getting broke and if you do break a tip it comes with another complete top section. It cast well with light line ( 10 LB Braid ) and light lures ( 1/8 oz )as well as heaver line ( 30 LB braid )and heaver lures (1/2 to 3/4 oz) has good sensitivity for a rod at this price. The EVA foam handles have a good fill, and it's light and very balanced with several reels I tried it with ( 2500 to a 4000) size. If you are looking for a good rod at a good price I don't think you will go wrong.

1) The rod arrived nicely packed in a tube.2) what it surprised me is the extra tip. The product mentions there will be an extra tip, which I thought is just a terminal tip. But in fact, it is the whole 2nd piece! This is great when something is broken on the 2nd piece, we don’t need to bother fixing it, instead we can just use the extra 2nd piece. How convenient it is!3) I do salt water boat fishing mostly. The 6’10” MH rod that I got here help cast nicely. It has good backbone, light weight, and is well balanced!4) The only thing that I didn’t give 5 star for is when I use this 6’10” for jigging on my boat. Maybe because of some of the following reasons a) the tip bouncing too fast b) a bit more line guides than usual for example my ugly stick c) the line guides are smaller, vertical jigging the rod can cause tangling on the tip about once per five jigs. This brings come inconvenience. Having said this, the rod is still great for casting or people who don’t fish from a boat.

I have bought several kastking products now and they definitely worth every penny.Very versatile rod, lightweight but strong and it looks great.

I have ALOT of fishing gear, and this for the price is great. It’s got a nice action and feel, and so far the durability is great, and I’m not worried because it comes with an extra tip. The casting distance is not the best, but again for the price it’s great. Comparing this to a middle end rod like my halo carbon rod, this performance is just as good.
