I got this device for my wife's Microsoft Surface laptop. It really works. It worked the first time and every time since. With the help of this device, my wife has a real keyboard and a real mouse. They work perfectly with the Microsoft Surface laptop with the help of this device. Note that a Microsoft Surface 9 does not any USB ports built-in. This device provides two (and other ports as well).

I do all the accounting for our business and added a second screen, but I use my surface laptop go so I can easily go between my office and home office. I purchased this to use 2 full size monitors. It says it's "plug and play" but not at all. It will not detect my monitors at all. My cheap USB-C to HDMI convertor works flawlessly but this over $100 device doesn't work. The manual is also a joke.

I took it out of the box an hour after delivery. Very easy to insert Docking Station.Immediately, inserted my headphones in Audio jack and computer desk light in a USB port. Total setup-to-use less than a minute.Now, listening to music while desk light charges.Totally compatible with Surface Pro 9. EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!

The only interesting thing is that for it to fit snugly into the USB-C ports on the side of the SP9 screen, I needed to install it “upside down”, meaning the labels for the ports were now facing away from the scree . Not a big deal, just a curiosity. Functionakity is perfect.

My guess is it's probably pretty good, but if you have a case on it won't fit unfortunately as the connection points are not long enough. We had to return it and look for something else as the case was a must have for a future college student.

I like the fact that I could use my thumb, drive, headphones, and mouse, all in one docking station

It worked at first, and then after about a week, it started being unreliable as far as waking up the monitors plugged into it. It got to the point where I would have to unplug each of the monitors and plug them back in every time I wanted to use the docking station. It works, but it's a bit of a pain in that regard.
