Andalou Ultra Sheer Daily Defence Facial Lotion with SPF 18 80 ml

I’m an old man and don’t go in for skincare products. I do a lot of hillwalking so my face gets exposed to sun, wind and rain. I needed something that would help prevent dryness and skin cracking plus s bit of uv protection. I’m vegan, so cruelty free was also required.Have been using this cream once daily for about a year now, very pleased. A little goes a long way over forehead, eyes, cheeks and ears. Rapid absorption means it doesn’t feel greasy. Has really helped with reducing skin damage too. Can’t fault it

I was only previously able to get this in the US. I was very glad to see it also available on Amazon UK. It's a wonderfully emollient cream without being greasy and is an economical size. The ingredients are ethical and make a difference to my ashy/dehydrated skin.Andalou uses good quality ingredients and my skin has never reacted to any of their products, (I have sensitive skin) a definite plus.

Love this - really lightweight and not greasy. My skin feels so much better and it smells great too! Definitely buying again and would definitely recommend. Love that it is natural and has spf!

Amazing product! I would totally recommend it instead of all other mainstream facial creams full of nasty chemicals.

Chose this due to the good rating it got on beautipedia.com combined with its natural and cruelty free branding and sunscreen at a very affordable price. Have to say I'm a little conflicted but overall very pleased. I have very dry flaky winter skin at the moment that becomes t-zone in summer.The main problem for me is the VERY strong scent which I find strange in a natural branded product. However the scent is pleasant and does go away after a few minutes, also I haven't experienced any skin reaction to whatever fragrance is there. Unfortunately fragrances are known for being drying agents so this scent could be contributing to keeping my skin dry. Who knows??Secondly it makes my eyes water, which hasn't happened with any other moisturiser before. This again could be due to the fragrance and it can re-occur randomly all day.However I have had no rashes or reactions so it can't be too harsh.The moisturiser, is quite thick and I'm generous with it, it makes my skin very smooth, feels light and absorbs very quickly, literally I can put my make up on 20 seconds after the moisturiser! And it has improved my dry skin moderately.Also the moisturiser hasn't caused any spots! This is a major positive for me and reason enough alone to continue use as in the past 3 years since my favourite moisturiser discontinued I haven't been able to find a single one that didn't turn my skin into a spotty mess.So overall I'm pretty happy, will continue the lookout for the perfect partner but content with this one for as long as that takes.

I absolutely love the Andalou ultra sheer daily defense! I have pale, sensitive skin so I am VERY particular as to what I use on my face. It absorbs well, isn't too thick or too thin, while still moisturizing well. Bonus points that it has the SPF 18 added in. It also has a very light scent, almost fruity (not chemically or a sickly sweet scent). It doesn't make me break out. I use it twice a day, in morning and evening after washing my face. I have tried many, many products over the years and this one stands out. Also it it affordable, which is also very important. I used to be able to find it in the grocery stores and I can't anymore, but thankfully can still find it here on Amazon. I have used it for years and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future.

I got this moisturizer because of the sunscreen that is in it. It is not real heavy; my skin just soaked it right up. And the fragrance is lovely… It may have a citrusy smell. But I enjoy putting it on and I feel so much better about putting my foundation on top of it because I know I’m getting coverage and it really feels like it’s moisturizing my skin, without making it greasy. Very happy with my purchase. Will buy it again in the future.
