Love it
I'm stunned... its so well built. Nice color. The p-90 has a classic sound. No fret sprout. I just tuned it up. Lowered the bridge a smidge. Raised the pup, and bam rocking out time! Just might buy another!

Well worth the money.
Excellent value for the money. This is my second IYV and probably not my last.Quick shipping and better craftsmanship at this price point than I expected.

Cool Guitar!
Cool guitar! I swapped the pickup for a Seymour Duncan P90 (although the stock pickup was okay/good, very P90esque). Also replaced the strings, tuners and bridge, as well as the tone and volume nobs. Those replacements were just to pass the time. This is a surprisingly good guitar, FOR THE MONEY, stock out of the box.

Great DC Jr from IYV
Lightweight, very yellow, with IYV's consistent quality fit and finish, the ILJR-200 delivers the look, feel and sound of a great DC Junior at an entry level price. The single P90 sounds bright and punchy, distorts great, and cleans up nicely with volume and tone dialed down. Neck feels like a slightly wide C profile. Side dots, but no fret markers as shown in the listing, fretwork is very good, crowned and polished with no sprout or sharp ends. Guitar is very light, under 6 lbs, Plays and sounds great after tuning right out of the box, it looks like they use quality strings and get the action right before leaving the factory. IYV builds for Harley Benton and takes pride in their product, if you've wanted to try a good P90 guitar, you won't find a better one near this price with Amazon's return policy.

Quality control issues
I'll start by saying I own 3 other IYV guitars..and love them all. Absolutely great guitars for the money to mod and really good as is too. Just as good as any of my squire, epiphone...etc. not so much so with this lp jr style, fit and finish got it two stars, but thats all it had going for it, the pup sounds ok from what little i could play on it..but.. The neck was so bowed it was unplayable lower than the 5th fret. Truss rod did nothing to adjust in either direction. Sent it back. May try another to see if it was a fluke seeing as my other iyv's are great. Im not a fan of set neck guitars as a whole anyway though. May just try something else. Pretty disappointing.

Good construction but the pickup is mediocre.
This is a nice, inexpensive way to get a double cut Les Paul Jr with a p90 pickup. The price is low enough that it's a good starter for a project or to switch out the pickup, which needs to happen because it's one of the noisiest p90s I've ever heard with any kind of distortion. It's pretty noisy on lower volume clean which shouldn't happen. If you're a beginning guitar player who wants this type of guitar, I would look elsewhere and pay a little bit more because it'll need a setup and I'm not normally somebody who replaces pickups automatically but in this case I would recommend it, so that puts a beyond the reach of a beginner. Tuners are adequate, fit and finish good for this price range. The sound is pretty close to an Epiphone/Gibson guitar of this type, and it's a nice size for beginners. If someone wants to go to the trouble of having it set up and getting a noise gate/improving insulation ground/etc then it's cheap enough to do that. This company puts outs nicer guitars at the higher price ranges.

Nice guitar!
I did not have very high expectations for this guitar considering the price. Also I had almost given up since I ordered the guitar 11 months prior. I was pleasantly surprised after opening the box and inspecting. Unlike the reviewer of the first issue of this guitar, the one that I received has position markers on the fretboard as well as the side of the neck. After slightly adjusting the string height, the guitar plays beautifully. The neck is chunky as would be found on the original. The p90 pickup sounds great. The only noticable flaw was a chip in the fretboard at the first fret. I was also concerned about intonation since the bridge/saddle is not angled like the original, but it seems to be fine. The weight is balanced between the body and neck and feels very solid. I give it a thumbs up.👍

It’s tempting but don’t do it
At this pricepoint, its either going to be really good or really bad. This example of this guitar is really bad. The bridge is set too far back so it can never be properly intonated. If you just want to play open chords it might be ok but thats about it. The tuners are pure trash. The finish is about what you might expect at the price point… flawed but good enough. The nut is not good either. Taken together all this stuff results in a tuning nightmare.Good points include the pots being surprisingly decent, the pickup is ok, not super articulate but decent for the pricepoint. The cavity is shielded which blew my mind ,no fret sprout which was also amazing. Some high frets but you should expect that at this price. Guitar is very light and neck dive is a problem. Neck feels good. Nice full c shape like you’d want on a junior style guitar. The listing showed a dogear but it arrived with a soapbar p90.In summary this guitar has some surprisingly good attributes but in the end suffers from basic unforgivable flaws. I do not recommend it. If they simply put the bridge where it should be, put a better nut and tuners on, they could charge double the price and this guitar would be a steal.
