The paper in this notebook works very well with fountain pens -- it doesn't bleed through or show through to the other side, it has a good texture so that nibs move easily, but is not excessively coated so the ink dries quickly. This is the thickest notebook (320 pages) I have found, which is one reason why I bought it. The only drawback to that thickness is that you need to prop your hand on something when you get 2/3 down the page on the thick side, to be able to continue writing comfortably. I just use another smaller notebook, it's not a big problem, just something to be aware of. I've been using this for a couple of weeks, and it seems very well-made and sturdy, with soft faux-leather covers, a pocket inside the back cover, and some stickers for tabs if you want to divide the notebook into sections.

This book is hard cover, with texture. Two ribbon bookmarks (on the short side to be useful). The lines are mini-dashes in light gray, which allows your writing to stand out. Inside the back cover is a heavy paper pocket with sticky-tabs inside. The paper quality is good. Only very wet permanent markers bleed through. It has an elastic band closure and pen holder. The book is well made, and has numbered pages from 1-316. It is soft enough to write on on your lap, comfortably, and firm enough t be supported for writing. It would be suitable for a journal or diary; but also countless other purposes.

This journal is the best I have had so far. An award winning author 2023 but everyone grows from writing their thoughts, goals or just stories. Well made, excellent price . I don't use the date section I number the pages myself.I have now several in different colors. The cover is very durable too.

I like the notebook and the quality. It was a good price. The color was slightly different than in the photos. I like the ribbons to hold my place as well. The only thing I did not like is the photo is a definite misrepresentation of thickness. I knew it was probably going to be thinner and although it is described as 320 pages, it was probably 160. (Also a misrepresentation, as most notebooks count one page as the front and back). Only in reading format is the back counted as a separate page, not in writing supplies.

i wanted smooth paper and a notebook that laid flat and this had both. amazing quality - ink doesn’t bleed through the pages at all. the leather outside is nice. the bookmark ribbons did come loose from the spine of the book but that wasn’t a big deal. highly recommend

This is my new favorite journal (the A-4) .... and I have tried many kinds over the years.I look for1) large (8.5x11) pages for ease of writing and getting enough writing's worth per side2) thick pages that don't bleed through with a variety of pen thickness, and3) enough pages per journal.(Yes, they count each 'side' as one page, hence the more 'page count' confusion.)The book lays flat when opened -which is nice -and two ribbon place markers are nice, but even one would be great for me.The soft cover isn't a game changer for me (I like hard or soft cover journals) and the added pocket thing in the back (with the added bonus sticker place markers) are nice, but not a necessity for me. For me, it is all about those pages.I like the choice of cover colors to differentiate between journals a bit (over the years it is nice to see at a glance which journals are from which years... in case of needing to reference something...) but I have never spilled anything on the covers to know about cleanup and such.Why certain colors are priced higher than others, is interesting to me... but there are enough colors offered to satisfy my color likes.This is my second order of this brand and would recommend this A-4 size hands-down.(I hope to get more colors of these eventually~ )
