I purchased the Soliom BF08 bird feeder camera as a gift for my mom for Mother’s Day. She loves watching “her birds.” Set up and installation were easy for the Soliom BF08 bird feeder camera. The app is intuitive to navigate. The videos are very clear. The feeder holds a good bit of seed. Overall my mom loves the Soliom BF08 bird feeder camera. It was a great gift that she’ll get a lot of use out of. Side note: Prepare to charge the camera for eight hours before set up and installation!

Excellent little bird feeder, well worth the price and as with other soliom products, the cameras are exceptionally nice once you're used to the software (short learning curve). Easy to set up, the solar is reliable and the camera stays connected, I have no complaints!

Great product! Easy to install and use

I'm delighted that I did not choose a cheaper plastic bird feeder with a camera. The Soliom BF08 metal bird feeder is absolutely wonderful! The protective packaging the item ships in makes it easy to see all the parts at first glance. A quick setup guide for both the birdfeeder and connecting the camera to your home wifi/ internet system is provided. It was nice having the option of attaching the bird feeder via pole or securing it to a tree with the provided strap. I attached my birdfeeder & solar panel to a small board. Then I attached the assembly to a tree using a couple bungee cords. This gives me the option to move it to different areas in the yard without any hassle. Both the video & photos are fantastic in sharpness and detail. Easy to save and share both photos and video. Lots of recording options. Excellent product that is constructed to last many bird watching years.

Maybe it’s just me, but it seems this unit has died after 1 week of use. The solar charging does nothing so the battery ran down completely, powered off and now won’t get back online, no matter what I try. It had a lousy signal strength from the beginning but would at least connect after a few seconds of trying ( most times) and have a laggy image. It’s not too far from my router and the panel was in the sun so I really don’t understand why I’m having these issues. I’ve tried to trouble shoot and make changes but it will not solar charge and it will not go online again so I’m returning this unfortunately. I really wanted this to work because of the the large seed capacity.*edit*6/4Update to 4.5 stars…I moved it into a different area, in direct line from the WiFi router, which is near a window so it’s pretty close, like 20 feet distance, now I’m getting good signal. The solar is working also and keeping it charged, now that it is not in a tree. Still knocked off a star/half star because the range is not sufficient. Most people will have a router in a central location inside their home, so you’re realistically looking at 15 feet before you even get outdoors. To require 20 feet or less is limiting where it can be placed. (I got an email from the company about the distance, they recommended 12-15 feet so it would connect) It was also really hard to reconnect after the battery ran down as well, so my advice is to manually charge it before it powers off.

The media could not be loaded. We love that we are able to see that our pets are secure and happy while we are away.

Great product!! We have watched a Cardinal, chipmunk and sparrow feed. It is great we love it!!

Easy to install and use. The app is fairly easy to navigate, as well. I don’t experience any lag with the live feed and can review saved videos quickly. No issues so far.
