Longer than we expected it to be (should have checked the measurements first)! It works very well and is well constructed.

First the good points; this is a very well-made item. Excellent craftsmanship. I cannot fault the build quality at all. It comes with a very nice presentation box.It performs pretty well also. My only concern is that I paid more for it than I think it is really worth (£58 at the time of purchase). I think maybe £40 would be a fairer price.Again, the quality is outstanding and the performance is great, but I think my 3-year-old ceramic sharpener/honer rod does a slightly better job with my Zwilling knives and it was almost half the price of this. The downside of a ceramic sharpener is of course you have to be careful you don't drop it as they are quite brittle!Perhaps the flat version of this knife sharpener might perform a little better, but I'm not rich enough to buy another one. :)

Excellent sharpening tool for your carving knife or chef knife. After careful research these were highly recommended by Good Housekeeping.

We have all see the Japanese films with the swords etc, this sharpener although pricey, was the best investment for the kitchen/mancave. It is real quality and only requires 2 or 3 slow passes to create a sharp edge from a previous dull blade.Leaves nothing behind like tiny metal fragments "dust" which is actually the sharpening device itself!

This honing steel is excellent, in all respects, I couldn’t be happier, definitely recommended.

This knife steel not only looks great it works extremely well. Arrived in a beautiful red box would make an excellent present
