If your child is a fan of the show, this game is a must have
Played this on my 11 yr old AtLA fanatic’s birthday. Took a little time/investment to figure out the game mechanics but more than worth it.Pros: fantastically balanced/well thought through game with real payoffs from the AtLA “lore” and playable by my newly 11 yo by himself. Nice quality components and original art— love that the character abilities resonate with the story (the best part of the show from this adult’s perspective is the character development). Love the cooperative and strategic aspects.Cons: maybe just us, but we had to slog through the instructions (pretty well written and complete, but a lot to cover) so, unless there’s significant adult help with initial setup (5 min YouTube video helped) agree with 10+ rating (also lots of pieces to keep up with) and probably obvious, but would add that a working knowledge of the show is necessary for full benefit.

Fun for all ages!
Super fun to play. I like the mechanic of team order being important, my understanding is the other rising games don't have that. Played this with a group ranging from 20-65 and everyone loved it! Those who weren't gamers learned quickly and had a lot more confidence (and skill) in the second game. Really a fun game that I look forward to pulling out on game nights.

Pretty good game, decent quality, easy to learn.
This is a fun, quick and easy game. It's got enough challenge to make it interesting, though once you beat it at the highest difficulty, it stops feeling very challenging. There's a lot of luck involved with the challenge too. Get enough healing, or get good luck on where the firelord spins or what enemies come out, and the game is a breeze. Get bad luck and its a struggle (though still winnable). Though I think it is meant for younger ages than myself and my board gaming enthusiast friends, so can't really complain there. The art is great, for a fan of the show its wonderful seeing all the favorite characters. I wish it came with a lot more dice. There is plenty to share, but being able to just have your own dice and not have to pass them around constantly would be a nice QOL improvement.Production quality is alright, at the level to be expected of a mass market game from the OP. Cards are a bit thin, not much production/art quality on the board and non-card components.

BUY IT!!!
SO MUCH FUN & great gift!! For anyone who loves new & fun board games but especially ATLA fans! I really love how it’s a team work game instead of working against each other. And, it requires strategy! Teamwork is a necessity for any level above easy.I will say, it is very complicated to understand the first couple times playing, we had to reread the instructions multiple times and watch a few YouTube videos to fully understand everything. It does take a long time to complete a full game but we definitely don’t mind. That should be expected for most new board games. And it looks so nice on our bookshelf ❤️ Highly recommend!!

SUPER FUN AND SIMPLe
If you're a fan of Avatar or you're looking for a fun game to play. GET THIS NOW! the game mechanics are fun yet challenging yet simple that anyone can play. Every game will be different thanks to card shuffling. There are different difficulties to the game aswell. It's a bit pricy but the peices of the game are well made and since it's a licensed game it equals out. I'd highly recommend this. Took my family a little over 1.5 hours to play our first game and 1 hour for me to do a solo run (in a modfied fashion just using the og 3 characters)

Great family game.
We have been playing almost every other week with the kids. It is tough to beat. It requires a lot of team strategy and some luck. It is always more fun when you encounter Azula , Mai, and June at the same time.

A Solid Cooperative Game, Lackluster Rulebook
If you like cooperative games, this is a good one to add to the collection. The components are amazing, cards are a decent quality, the dice are unique and well made, and the several inch tall figure of Fire Lord Ozai is amazing.Like any good cooperative board game, it's not easy to win. You have to work together to defeat enemies before they start to really rack up damage with their abilities, or recruit ally heroes before they succumb to such attacks, which reinforces the theme of teamwork from the show. Overall the game does a very good job of feeling like avatar, especially with the art on the cards. It's simple, probably just images of the characters from scenes in the show bits it's very clean and satisfying. Visually and in terms of component quality, this game is a knockout from the box art to the pieces. The gameplay itself always feels tense, I love the dice rolling mechanic that is very similar to Yahtzee but you are trying to roll for combinations that either recruit a hero or deal damage to enemies, as determined by their particular card.Downsides? Yes, there are a few. The rules could use a bit of work. Without using videos or YouTube tutorials or anything, it takes a few games to really get what the rules are saying. For example, there is a red circular symbol used that is never defined explicitly. Using context you can reason out easy enough that this symbol means damage, but is never defined as such which made it annoying while reading. In addition, several questions came up throughout the first few games played that the rules don't exactly give an answer for, so it's up to your own table rules at that point. Also, every game (that we didn't lose early on, while learning or otherwise) we ran out of the red cubes for damage markers. There simply was never enough of them to mark down all the damage being spread around. Some of the pai sho tokens are subject to ill-defined rules also, making them seem rather unbalanced.Overall, if you like both the show and board games then this is a good one to have, but for the price it could be better explained how to actually play.
