You can extend how long the CO2 canister lasts by only filling the water bottle with only 6psi-7psi then picking up the whole device and shaking it a bit with a string grip. It causes the water to absorb more of the CO2 pressure while using about 40% less of it.Normally the device directs you to hold the button until you hear a hiss at around 10psi

The machine doesn't work as it should. I tried two brand new CO2 canisters and both did the same thing. All of the plastic that should have been around the product was in the bottom of the box. I'm pretty sure I received a machine that had been previously returned. I would have liked to exchange it since I bout it on sale and now the price is almost double what I paid, but a return was the only option other than keeping a faulty machine. I'll go with a name brand one next time.

The pressure gauge is very helpful.

We're loving our soda machine. It makes nice, refreshing, carbonated drinks that taste great. Even if you don't use any syrup, it's good. I like to use a splash of lemon, along with a tablespoon of honey for a nice, refreshing drink. We buy simple syrup and other sodastream brand syrups. All of them work and taste delicious using this machine.

Failed after just 1 month of use. It spews CO2 into the air. Customer service takes 24 hours to respond to complaints. Troubleshooting link provided is for corded models, lol. What a company, huh?Don't bother with this machine. There are plenty of other options. I suspect the company knows quality is hit or miss and has no intention of resolving the problem in a timely manner. They just hope you'll eat the cost and move on.
