Q: Would these work for getting the back off of a nexus 7?

I haven't used this item on a Nexus 7, but I have used it to get the back off several other phones & tablets. If the back clips onto the unit with the usual press clips I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to use it. Before I bought these items I used old loyalty cards (Tesco Clubcard for example) cut into narrower strips to separate the clips. Guitar plectrums also work. It's best to avoid metal tools because they damage the plastic. You get a much better grip with these things, but you still have to be careful and move round the back in small stages. Be patient. Good luck.

Q: Will this work on Macbook keys?

Sorry , no idea as I used them on an HP laptop but I’d expect they would be of use. Mind you Apple will have some other devilish techniques so you never know. I googled a YouTube video to help me
