This is a great idea, brought up to date now with the addition of a waist belt. I use this for cycling with my 15kg Staffie, I didn't think she'd like it but she really does. We cycle abroad quite a bit and it really turns heads. The bag is quite well made but is prone to ripping at certain stress points, like the area where mesh meets the nylon fabric. Chest strap can be a bit flaky too, popping off of one side when you least expect it. We give these bags a fairly hard time through the year and expect to replace it annually. It's a good idea to have help when putting this on with your dog in it, fighting with the weight and the straps can be difficult - same with taking it off, it's better for the dog if someone else holds them whilst you get out of the straps.The most I ride at a time with the pup is about 10 miles, after that you'll probably be feeling the effects. This isn't made like a hiking rucksack, its more your everyday picnic/school bag. For me, 15kg is as much as I want to carry, beyond that and the thin straps will bring on various pains.

Good bag which I wasn't sure my dog would get into but she loves it...I wear it on my front as she's small .In warm weather she got hot quickly but you'd expect that, she didn't need to be in it for long.

For a long time I couldn’t find anything that would have been good. I can honestly say it’s brilliant.The bottom of the back pack is strong ( I have 8kg dog )Straps feel secure that’s inc. zip.Strap around waist could have been longer for better supportFront paw cut out is ok but I slightly worry when putting paws through them.
