Q: What is the current rating (amps)?

I happily used these with DC, but see no reason not to use with AC with some attention to the voltage. These are well made and I liked how quickly I could modify from using, or not using the blue stands. I recomend.

Q: It must be a highly guarded secret how many amps DC these are rated for? From the seller, not someone guessing.

I use these same line bar connectors for ground negative and also another for positive 12v DC as "taps" for 20 amps. They are solid brass!

Q: Does it take 25sqmm wire?

No it will not accept 25sqmm wire. Brass holes measure 3/16 inch ( 4.76 mm) in diameter. This diameter corresponds to an area of .0276 sq inches, (17.8 sq/mm)

Q: What guage of electrical wire will fit in the wire holes?

Hole sizes are approx 3/16 inch diameter (.187 inches ). AWG 6 gauge is .162 and would appear to be the largest gauge supported AWG 5 gauge is .181, probably too close to fit. Stranded twisted wire gauges may require additional diameters
