This stuff is super sticky. I bought it to secure my flexible dryer vent to the dryer because the hose clamp kept falling off. It worked really well. It seems very durable, but I just put it on there so I don't know for sure. I don't anticipate any problems because I used some just like it to repair the bottom of the heating unit for my crockpot many years ago (it cracked in half, and I just taped the two pieces together with aluminum tape!), and that repair is still holding up. I absolutely love this stuff, it's like aluminum foil that is super sticky on one side, so good for repairing metal especially in circumstances where it may get hot (like a dryer vent) and other tapes would melt or burn.

Used a lighter to light it on fire and it did not readily burn and went out quick. Then stuck it to the table and used the lighter to warm it up good and the adhesive did not peel readily either. Was just as sticky as when applied which is pretty good adhesion. Hopefully it will be good for my intended use.

This stuff sticks to nothing. It won't stick to aluminum, it won't stick to plastic, it won't stick to metal of any kind for more than 5 minutes, it won't stick to ducting or duct work or even itself. I use this for some AC work I was doing and for some venting etc and it all came undone. All of it. It curls up at the end and then just keeps going. Never saw anything do this. I would have been better off using Scotch tape.

The air handler inside my house was leaking air because the original foil tape had come apart. This works well to seal the old tape. I am not sure why some decided to heat it immediately and see if it sticks. I think all tape with glue backing has a solvent that needs time to dry - perhaps days or even weeks.

I see that the listing has now been updated. When I ordered it, the images, video, and description said it was a much stronger product with fiber content that could not be torn. I returned the product, gave feedback, and reordered, but again received the same thing. I needed some kind of aluminum tape right away, so kept it. It tears easily, but seems to adhere. Because of my experience, I cannot rate it highly, and it has only been a month, so I cannot speak to durability, but it seems to work for use as is now described -- I checked the listing before writing this review.
