This book is lovely, just lovely. The art work has to be seen, i can not tell you how captivating the art work is. Cute story. It is hard to find any little girl of color who could not relate to the main character in the story, who did dislike having her hair done, but also did like how it looked once finished, as well as liked wearing her hair in a variety of ways. Hey, haircare is part of life. It just is. Makes a Great gift.

I'm trying to get my son to appreciate his hair because it it awesome. We live in Spain and not many kids look like him at his school. I'm trying to teach him self-love at a young age. This book is great.

Super sweet book about the exciting first haircut of your life. The boy is scared of the sound of the clippers but eventually finds the courage to sit through the haircut and feels proud to look "just like daddy" afterwards. There is such few books about hair for Black boys and we are loving it!
