How do you use this on a pistol to clean? do you have to use it again to lube your pistol after you cleaned it with this?

This stuff is pretty pricey. I use it along with another cheaper product called gun scrubber. It’s a much less expensive spray cleaner/degreaser without any dry lube in it. So I clean with gun scrubber and a rag, brass barrel brush, and old tooth brush, then I give it a final spray everywhere with this. But yes, if you’re only using this product, you would be cleaning with it and scrubbing it off, then having to re-spray it to have any dry lube left on when you’re all done. Seems pretty wasteful. That’s why I use the cheap stuff to clean first. That being said, I think this dry lube does a great job. I use it on all of my guns (I have at least one of every basic type of handgun, rifle, and shotgun) Since there is no oil left behind, you get much less “gun sludge” which is the product of tiny particles of brass, copper, powder, and lead getting stuck in the oil that’s supposed to be lubing. So not only does this stuff clean and lube, but it also keeps it performing better for longer.

Will this soak into a parkerized finished 1911 like traditional oil?

I would assume so, and from my understanding of what Parkerization is; that is what you would want. The absorbtion of the oil/light grease into the pores of the finish is what protects it from rusting. Parkerization is designed to absorb and hold the oil in it's pores to protect the metal from rust and corrosion. Without the oil/light grease, the parkerized finish is not protected. That being said, as another poster already stated, the film is very light and leaves no film, which is one of the best things about this product. Your gun won't be oily to the touch, but the metal is "very" well protected. This product has been reported to be a top performer in both lubricity and anti-rust protection.

For a microtech otf it’s said I should use rem oil.is this a replacement for rem oil?

This should work, as it is a very good lubricant, superior to Rem oil in all respects. It is not a direct replacement product, however, as it works more as a film-type lubricant. Rem oil is a very light oil, and does not have very robust lubrication or rust-prevention properties according to independent tests.

Is this good for powder measures?

Use this to clean dies and other press metal parts but NOT on plastic. You can use alcohol in your cylinder to clean and dry, then use graphite powder to coat inside your powder cylinder.
