Soft and moist, which seems to be a rare find since almost all of the compounds I’ve been purchasing seem to be dried and hard. I have originally been using the yellow flexcut compound, and this compound really surpassed my old one. It’s easier to load the strop paddle and to also get a complete and full coat without gaps in the application. The compound also appears to be a little quicker at polishing the edge, I seem to be using less passes to get the same, or even better results. I’ve also tried rubbing some onto a rag and using it to polish the whole knife blade and it still works great.

These bars are somewhere between 6000-10000 grit, so they're clearly in the lapping/finishing end. The compound does have a petroleum smell, most likely because it does use petroleum as an additive to keep the bar soft. I'd recommend using this in a well-ventilated area or outside if possible. Great results, it polished my knives to a mirror shine in only twenty passes. Recommended, great value for the money.
