Purchased this to use with an American Standard toilet. Aesthetic note - the white color matches the toilet well.My initial observations are very favorable. Build quality seems high. The seat rests on the toilet very securely with four feet. The seat has a curved design so it is comfortable to sit on. With the top closed, it also seems stable when sitting on the closed seat.Installation is easy. Required only a Phillips (preferred, in my view) or flat-blade screwdriver - the screw heads accommodate both. Installation done almost entirely from above the toilet. You push a compressible wingnut through each of the two mounting holes in the toilet whereupon the wingnut expands and then you fasten the seat in place. Fairly clear instructions provided. The only time I had to reach to the underside of the toilet was when fastening the two screws in place. Given the design of the American Standard toilet, nothing prevented the compressible wingnut from rotating, so I had to hold each one in place while tightening the screw. Easily done.The soft close works well. It starts operating when the seat reaches about half-closed. For the first half of closing, the seat closes freely; then the soft-close mechanism kicks in to slowly close the rest of the way. It works quite well.So, overall a well-designed, comfortable toilet seat that installs fairly easily and works well. And, the price seems reasonable.Recommended.

WORKS AS DESCRIBED

Good idea, being able to clean under the seat/toilet contact point but the seat falls easily off the toilet. When contacting Kohler, very poor customer service, insulting actually. I'll be look at other brands.Bought Non Slip Premium Wood, Easy Clean, Easy Install, Elongated, WhiteThis is way better design and less expensive. Won't buy Kohler in the future....
