Perfection
The book's cover is absolutely beautiful. Though there's one thing, the pages are very thin, other than that everything is good. Love it!!

Fingerprint Deluxe Hardbound Edition
Firstly, it’s the Louise and Aylmer Maude translation. I noticed that this is not mentioned in the product description or any of the other reviews. Also, this is the best available translation.Secondly, the paper quality is good. It’s light but also a little plasticky. Binding is also nicely done with no blind spots on the inner edges, even in the middle part of the book. Bookmark is a nice touch.

Pathetic Paper Quality
I don't know why fingerprint publisher went with such a bad paper for this wonderful work. I mean it doesn't do justice to the stature of Leo Tolstoy. This is my third hardcover book from fingerprint. Other two are "Greatest Short Stories" and "Works of Edgar Ellen Poe". Those two have good paper quality and they are worth collectible. And having good experience with previous hardcover imprints I thought I would bring Magnum opus of Leo in hardcover as well but honestly I am shocked to see the paper. It is so thin that a book having more than 1200 pages is thinner than a book having 600 pages by very same publisher. It is so thin that even while turning the pages I tore few of them. You don't have to turn the pages to read the next page since all are see through and read two pages at once without turning it. May be they don't want you to turn the pages so that you don't accidentally tear it. I suggest you all don't buy this novel from fingerprint. Our bookselves as well as Leo Tolstoy deserves far better than this pathetic of a book.

Sturdy binding but poor paper quality
Binding:5/5 (came with just a standard Amazon paper bag yet no dent or bent corners, almost spotless binding and quite sturdy and the cover is thicker than other Fingerprint Deluxe Editions notably The Complete Novels of Sherlock Holmes had a very thin cover)Story: it would be a crime to rate such a masterpiece and one of the most important books in human historyPages:(1/5) the pages are extremely thin and one can see the writing of the other page as well,

If you want to own something gorgeous and elegant, this is it.
The media could not be loaded. The packaging was alright and thankfully the book is in great shape. The page edges are golden and the paper is so soft, as if gliding my fingers down a new classmate notebook's page. I literally feel like I own some kind of royal antique or work of art now. Please don't think twice because it's worth all the money!
