Cool Cable, doesn't work after a few months (Updated)
I'm hoping I'm an outlier, and this isn't the normal experience, but I wanted to share mine.I bought this in Nov 2022 (time of writing is early June 2023). The cable worked great for about three months, and then it only works if I hold it at a very specific angle (tried other cables, and have no issue with any of them). The screen is great, and it's a great tool to see how fast your phone is actually charging, but I wouldn't recommend using it as a daily cable.I reached out to Mcdodo on their website, and never got a response as far as if I even had a warranty/ what my options were.I really wanted to rate it 5 stars, because of how much I loved it, but it's near unusable right now, and that was only after a few months.UPDATE- The company reached out to me and sent me a replacement. I'm keeping the original text for posterity and transparency, but I wanted to say that they were great at helping me out, so I'm changing it to give stars.

Works as described
Works as advertised with the cable read out swapping back and forth from voltage to wattage. Do do mid the amps reading as I hang them other devices. It’s still a great product to use of your into that kind of thing to know what devices take on during the charge cycle. I’ve only used it to online 6 pro and iPad Pro which draws about 25W. I would like to try making it charge up to it max rating.

Charging plus watts
Bought this cable 11/22 and used it a few times to test some chargers out. Went to use it the other day and found that the cable would not allow a consistent charge and would show disconnected on my phones if I ever so slightly moved the cable. I've got numerous other Mcdodo cables that are older and still work just fine so I reached out about warranty. I was promptly responded to and my cable warranty situation was taken care of immediately! I noticed the new cable came in a different box and the wires were more flexible this time. Maybe they realized the err of their early ways - but this one feels like the other same brand cables I have in my vehicles (the ones with the green charging light and angled) Thank you for the great customer service!

I wanted to love it but I can't
Now let's get this clear. There is a similar cable from this same brand that I bought and it's still working fine. The plugs are shaped slightly differently, but it's the same general design.Upon receiving this (presumably premium) cable I was happy that I'd be able to monitor the wattage going to my phone to charge it, especially on the car charger. The first few weeks we'd be easily able to plug our phones in and get them fast charged via the charger with this cable. The other similar cable is being used for Android auto. After those first few weeks, I noticed that my phone, as well as my partner's was making the charging connection sound a lot on drives. I first thought maybe the charging ports had become filled with dirt and crud on the phones, so I cleaned them, to no avail. I also noticed a severe drop in the charging wattage going to either phone. I started thinking it was the car charger, so I switched the cables around for a day. The swapped cable worked fine, but now this cable which was now doing Android auto, kept disconnecting the phones from Android auto. Imagine losing your navigation in the middle of a 65mph busy highway. It was clear that this cable was the problem. After switching them back and trying this cable in different plugs. All the results were the same. Very unstable connections and low wattage when charging. This has caused my phone to die a few times when using it heavily because the cable is neither connecting nor providing enough wattage to charge the battery. I sometimes have to jiggle it to get a connection or I put the phone at some odd angle and this even is temporary. As such I've just removed the cable from the vehicle and am getting better results with a super basic one.

Great for seeing if you're really getting what you should out of your charger
Update Jan 2025: This cable is still in like new condition, and I have since verified it works up to 100 watts.I actually like this cable so much that I bought a second one with a USB-A plug on one end. The display is clear and easy to read. The included pic shows my 65W charger providing 68W to my laptop. I'm not sure if that is due to overperformance of my charger or a slight inaccuracy in the measurement of the cable. (or a little bit of both) Either way, it seems to me that it would likely be within tolerance. The cable seems pretty sturdy, but only time can tell in that department. I don't have anything that supplies 100W that doesn't have it's own cable permanently attached to it, so I have only tested it up to the aforementioned 65W but have no reason to believe it will not perform adequately there as well.

Works as advertised, but only for 1 year
I really loved the cable as it gave me a good indication of watt draw for each of my devices. It worked well and did provide up to 100 watts of power according to the lcd display to my laptop. However, after one year and one month exactly, the cable no longer charges devices. The lcd side usbc connector intermittently glitches out and got very hot! I was afraid that it may damage my tablet. I also tried to charge two other devices with the same symptoms.Overall, the cable is awesome and worth the money. Only negative is the durability and reliability of the product. I will be purchasing another cable from another brand as I enjoy the use-case of these type of products.
