Velcro waist strap is cheap but the customer service is excellent
Update: after posting the following review, I simply must complement this company for standing behind their product and reaching out. My review got their notice and they responded in a very nice way. Few if any companies do this in today's world. Bravo: This belt is good and effective if adjusted properly, however the velcro used on this product is of a "cheap" grade and quality, causing it to lose it's grip and curl up around the edges. I expect that this velcro component would wear out even faster if it went through a wash cycle.

Good choice...with disclaimer note
This belt has proven to be pretty effective at helping me minimize the pain from my hernia. The one downside I note is that after only one month of use, the velcro is losing its ability to stick together and is starting to come undone even while in use. The belt will not function properly much longer at this rate.

Works very well
The person I bought this for said it works like magic. He can live his life as if he doesn't have a hernia while wearing this.

What’s with the velcro??
I have been using this product for a few weeks and the Velcro is curling up and then it sticks to the outer clothing. The rest of the design seems okay but the Velcro need improvement. It needs some support to keep it flato or a stiffer Velcro.

Comfortable and great hernia support
While the pad is a bit thick for my needs I was able to shave it down and find the proper fit for me. I tried a few different ones and for me this one was the most comfortable and offered the proper support needed. While I've only had it a short while, this has so far held up on long work days (my job is physical so this is important to me). I have an active 3 month job coming up so we'll see how it holds up, I will probably buy a couple more to have a rotation, if you have an active life style or job I recommend getting more than one. I think their sizing is a little off so try a size down first.Pros:Comfortablegood design and seems to be of good quality as welloffers good support for active peoplegood pricecons:does not come with different thickness pads.sizing is a bit off, try going smallerwished it listed materials it is made of, as I am allergic to certain synthetic fibers. At leas say if its hypoallergenic or not.

Very good, has allowed me to live much more comfortably with my hernia BUT BEWARE
I have a hereditary inguinal hernia that recently started bothering me about 7 months ago. I use this with a nice strong compression shorts (I have McDavid). I am able to lift and do things "OK" with them on and even play sports and go to the gym. I have a small right inguinal hernia. If I don't wear it and I left, I do get site pain and sometimes mild testicular discomfort. I stop any exercise if I feel pain.WHY I SAY BEWARE - I was able to play sports, do pilates, run and weight lift using these two items. I believe my abdominals have "compensated" for my hernia but now I feel a weakness around my belly button and fear I have started the beginning to an umbilical hernia. I will be getting surgery soon and hopefully I did not compromise the rest of my abdominal wall.

Works well for me, everybody's case is different, you'll need to work with it.
I'm 5' 10", 190lbs., 38 waist. The large works. The model is wearing it way high, for me the hard sponge pad you don't really see in the image is positioned right down next to the equipment, then I wear the strap a bit higher in back to give the strap more traverse, it is a bit long. There are three means of adjustment; the main waist strap velcro, then about a three inch velcro tab at each end of the crotch strap. Overall it is comfortable enough. Have patience, and work with the thing until it gives you relief.I can do most of my daily activities, but I still need to sit down after long periods of standing. Exercise is limited to what doesn't put pressure on my groin. This is tolerable until I get surgery, I would not call it a long term solution. To be clear, I was close to not being able to function when this showed up, now I can do most things, so for me it was entirely worth it.My surgeon looked at it and offered some reports from patients that after enough time it would start to impinge on nerves in the legs. This was entirely anecdotal, he made it VERY clear that it was not a professional opinion. So I only wear it as tight as I have to, and on those afternoons I'm glued to this desk chair I try to remember to take it off for an hour or two.I am getting along. One star off only because I have to wear mine a different way than the maker envisioned, so the adjustment takes some work.
