Is this graphite powder? I see black powder in the pics and video.

It was a clear gel like substance. Seemed to dry quickly but the benefits of it seemed to fade away after a few days use of my tent zipper

No. It is liquid like a soap or silicon. Keeps zipper clean and prevents binding.

I really can't tell you because I've never used anything different than Gear Aid! The last 20 years and I think it's the best! I'm sorry that I couldn't help that much....but I think that I would give it a try....you might be surprised!

is this safe to be used with a twill fabic jeep softop material?

It has not damaged any fabric the zippers have been attached to for us. Fabric ranging from heavy cotton canvas to camping tents to hoodies to zippers on leather boots and suede.
