The needle in my kit does not go through the button. Is anyone else having this problem?

I bought the dinosaurs and the island sewing kit, buttons were not part of that kit and my niece enjoyed her sewing project a lot. I would contact the seller, I am sure you would get a replacement. Best of luck.
