These locks are pretty easy to use, and updating the combination is straightforward. I'm still not sold on the strength of the cable; it seems like a kid with a pair of wire cutters could defeat them. Still, for basic protection and compliance they serve their purpose.

The design of these locks keeps them from being to bulky and they complement my Savior range bag very nicely. They are quality locks and built well enough to suit their purpose. While they don’t offer much in the way of maximum security (NO LUGGAGE LOCK DOES), they do a fine job keeping honest people honest. Let’s face the fact here. If someone wants what’s in your bag, they are not going to fool with cutting off or tampering with the lock(s). They’ll simply grab your luggage and go. With these locks and your watchful eye they should be enough to ease your theft and safety concerns at the range.

I own several Savior brand items like the mini range bag and the specialist double rifle bag. All of Savior products are well designed, tough, and sold at a value price. These locks perfectly address the need for locked cases in New York. They won't keep thieves out, since any thief can simply steal the bag or just cut the cable with a set of pliers. But they serve as a visual compliance with the law and perhaps a deterrent to potential petty thieves.

I bought these specifically to go on a couple of Savior rifle bags during transportation. The locks I had did not fit well through the zippers. The cable in these is a little bit thinner, so it goes through with no problem. I think they could be cut with a good pair of wire cutters, but since I will only be using them for compliance traveling to the range, it is a non issue for me. I also like the quality of the lock, number wheels, and ease to set combination.
