I was curious about French brand mascaras since I purchased Lancome Le 8 Hypnose Serum-infused Volumizing Mascara a year ago, it was great.....but $32 was a bit steep in price. Then I was curious about this mascara: Vivienne Sabo's Cabaret Premiere mascara. It wasn't Serum-infused, but it provided both volume and lengthening just like Lancome Le 8 Hypnose Mascara....and 1/2 the price of it! I was absolutely impressed with it, so much so, I recently got another one last month ( unopened of course ). I got compliments from customers and my co-workers, this is a TRUE diamond in the Rouge ( not ROUGH ), and I'm looking forward to get at least one more tube and one other Cabaret mascara. The French REALLY know their fashion attire, and Vivienne Sabo knew her stuff as well, GREAT mascara, je l'aime! I ❤️ it!

Mascara goes on nicely. Simple small applicator brush isn't overly saturated. Mascara goes on nice and separates lashes without globs and clumps! It's just what I've been looking for!

I’m on the search for mascara with no flakes and smudges under the eyes. This is not totally flake free and smudge proof, BUT it is the best by far. The smudging is negligible … some days no smudging at all. I’m finding it's likely due to my moisturizing makeup and under eye cream so I’m limiting what I put under my eyes which definitely makes a difference. This mascara goes on beautifully without clumping. I really like it and will definitely purchase again. My new favorite!

My favorite mascara. I have tiny thin invisible lashes and this is the only mascara that coats all lashes, builds without clumping and lasts! I’ve tried mascaras from Clinique, MAC, and all the low end brands.

Today i recieved this mascara and i tried it. It gave really good look to my eyes, eyelashes looked really long and beautiful, however i got severe allergy. After removing make up my eyes are very red, sore and itchy.Several years ago i was using this brand and i really liked it before, but i was using different type of mascara. This one i used it first time.When i was putting it, i felt it was little dry, but i thought this is the consistency. I don't know maybe it was old, or this type one just gave me allergy.Now i have to buy something else.

Stays on super well, a beautiful chocolate brown color, and the wand is perfect to get like a fluffy separation of lashes. My favorite was the Tarte tubing mascara but this will be my new go to because I still get the length and volume but with a softer color and better price.

Love this stuff. Previously I always used expensive mascaras - Estée Lauder, Lancome were my go to’s. This stuff is just as good, some may argue better, but at least half the price. Good clean wand application (doesn’t get your eyelid skin), goes on nice and smooth while being thick enough, and does NOT smudge! I use a Lancome lash primer though, so maybe this helps. Love this stuff

Update- I had a mascara emergency recently ( I lost it while applying in the car, stoped, of course) or it fell out of the car for the walk of tardy shame for kid 2….it was a run into Walgreens and I didn’t want to spend a ton for what I may find later. Welcome to my life Wet n wild in the purple tube (waterproof over my primer), it has the same brush, I still poked myself in the eye, but I could tell no difference. Price tag, under $3 on sale. Zero flaking, zero smudge. Never did I think I would love a $3 mascara. Maybe fresher than this one? IDK. I may just have been converted.Original/First I will say that I am a total mascara snob, I do not go ANYWHERE without mascara on. I have used Lancôme for 20+ years and any time I found the “next greatest” mascara and tried it I was so disappointed.I read lots of reviews and could hardly believe that THIS product could be this amazing. I expected a good mascara but nothing that blew me away. I was so wrong! The first time I tried it my lashes looked amazing! I have long and very thick lashes so many mascaras clump the lashes together, even my beloved Lancôme. The ones that do not clump do not seem to produce any noticeable results.THIS mascara not only gave perfect coverage from root easily to tip, it is a perfect level of thickness. There is NO CLUMPING! I have used it over my Lancôme primer just because I find that I get less under the eye mascara as the day progresses. However when I haven’t the lashes still look long, thick and defined.And it is absolutely the best single cosmetic product I have ever used! The brush took a few tries to really feel like I got it, but making sure the very tip is wiped is key to a random blob on my lid. I admit that having used different brushes for so long that I stabbed myself in the eye the first time I used it but that was entirely my fault.I also have always used a waterproof mascara, in heat and humidity it just stays better, however this has amazing staying power. I often fall asleep without removing makeup, but this is still looking great when I get up and is easily removed by my usual facial cleanser. I have not needed eye makeup remover.This was by far the best purchase I have made in a long time. Everyone needs to try this!!!I will add pictures if I can to the review.Edit- I am now on maybe my 4th tube (the first one is still pretty “fresh” and have tried a few others since buying this (ok, I’m obsessed with mascara!) AND given this as gifts multiple times and this still is by far the best mascara I’ve ever used. I have not gotten the waterproof version even though that is normally what I would go with because this one stays put so well.Seriously not sure how it is so inexpensive. Love it and everyone I have given this to has then ordered it.
