I honestly don't have that issue with mine. Wash in the dishwasher all the time. Perhaps you should contact the manufacturer. I use mine daily and haven't had that experience. Mine come out spotless.

No, they do not have lids. They are very simple, plastic "glasses". They are really small---smaller than they appear in the photo.
