I made sure that I watched the instructional video before I tried using this unique rotary cutter. That is an absolute must in order to use it correctly. I’ve only used it for a few days, but it is marvelous. I’ve even used it with my stripology ruler, and it works great!

This is a game changer. I had one of the brands sold at the national fabric stores. I've been fighting it for way too long. I was changing the blade every 2-3 projects, because the blade would skip. I tried to revive my cutting mat, thinking it might be the problem. I saw this cutter mentioned in a FB sewing group. Watched one video from Martelli, and I was sold.The ergonomics of this device is awesome. It makes a lot of sense. This is the best rotary cutter with the sharpest blade I've ever seen. Cuts through layers like butta. Feels natural in the hand. If it doesn't, you're holding it wrong. Search for Martelli videos on youtubez. Learn how to use it correctly.First project with this cutter was apparel patterns. Maneuvers easily around a pattern. Because I no longer feel the need to put a lot of force behind it like the others, and because the blade is so good, I can be super accurate. No sawing back and forth. No pulling on the fabric. No hand fatigue.It's great. It really is.

I love the feel of this rotary cutter and it works very well. Although I have used it while standing, my quilting instructor said that these cutters were designed to work best while sitting.Although I love this cutter and find it easy to use, there are a couple of cons to this product that I want to share to help decide:- Blades are proprietary. You must use the Martelli blades. The standard 45mm blades will fit the cutter, but the design of the center hole is different and could damage the cutter. The hole on Martelli blades are completely circular where every other blade on the market kind of have a triangular notched pattern.- The safety on the cutter is a bit weird. You have to flip a lever to expose the blade and cut. It stays open until you flip the lever back in the other direction.- Right Handed vs Left Handed. This one is for a right handed individual and is not reversible like many other cutters are. They do sell a left handed version as well, so make sure you purchase the correct one.- Replacing the blade can be a bit difficult. I haven't replaced the blade on this yet, but my understanding is that it is a little mor involved than most other rotary cutters.Despite some of the cons, I am still very happy with this cutter.

I have 6 rotary cutters and 5 only work for a short while. This rotary cutter is designed to take the pressure off your hands. It is comfortable, cuts perfectly and is high quality.

I am a quilter, using a rotary cutter everyday, I needed somenthing to keep my hand from hurting, especially my thumb. I love this rotary cutter!! No pressure on my thumb, cuts super easy and accurately, highly recommend.
