The Summit Zero answers the call to carry all that you need without being bogged down. Designed to have increased articulation, comfort, and breathability when in the field. Summit Zero’s feather weight construction reduces weight by 30% compared to the traditional Summit, while still providing much of the same protection.

Fantastic Shell
As a Ski Patroller, I needed a new shell that would allow me to wear a variety of layers underneath as dictated by conditions and this doesn’t disappoint. It has absolutely no insulation so don’t think of this as a single jacket for cold weather. It’s a shell and it does that job remarkably well for the price point. It sheds moisture, the fit and range of motion while wearing it is excellent, the packets are of good size and well placed and the Velcro is handy for attaching patches, etc. I found the hood to be just slightly undersized for my ski helmet but it didn’t bother me.I wear a vest over this shell which contains all my medical gear and it didn’t have any affect on this shell at all. No chaffing, no change in water repellency and no discomfort.I will definitely buy this shell again and would highly recommend.

Great performance at a solid price point
Purchased for an Alaskan cruise in June where the weather forecast was for rain and low to mid 50degree days. I’m from north Texas and spent 3 winters in Chicago. On the chilliest and wettest of day of the cruise that includes a visit to a glacier, I had this jacket on over flannel lumberjack style shirt, I was warm and dry underneath. Since it is a duty/patrol style jacket I was able to pull the hood tight over my head and still have situational awareness. The only CON I have is that the hood does not detach. It’s not a deal breaker but when you have the hood rolled up and zipped away you can feel it on the back of your neck. If that type of deal cause problems for you then it can be a deal breaker.Couldn’t be happier than I was with its performance in Alaska and on the ship.

20 min max water resistance, then your soaked.
I have owned this jacket for a little under a year now. Have had it in the spring, fall, and winter of NC as well as a winter trip to NY. Here are my pro/con list.Pro-pockets for days-comfortable, fits the body very well-mobility is not hindered with the pockets full-very durable material, I wore it under a chest rig while running a carbine course. No issues.-very well thought out design of the fasteners and the small things like the hood cinch.-YKK zippers!!!!!!!!-Great as an outter layer for all weather (minus rain)Cons-water resistant for a very short period. Do not expect this be on par with first spear or tactical distributors jackets. This jacket is solid as long as it's not exposed to rain/water for more than 20minutes. The water permiates the material, but the worst part is the water getting in through the hood cinch. I had most of my water issues from that area. Rolling down the back of my head/neck.- the bottom double zipper is a little bit of a pain to get lined up to zip. Takes a little practice, but it's more complicated than it needs to be.- the collar is ultra block like when the hood is stowed inside of it. I wear the jacket with the hood out because the collar is not really that comfortable when rubbing against it all day.Other than that, it is 100% worth the money I paid, for what I use it for. Just understand that if you want top notch kit, you have to drop the serious coin. If you're looking to this to perform as well as a higher end, you will sad. Just know it's great, but with limitations.

Nice dtuff, sold on Condor Outdoor.
This is my 6th piece of Condor outerwear purchased. 3 Alpha micro fleece jackets, a Sierra fleece, the Core soft shell vest they released recently and now this Summit Zero shell. The Core vest and the 'Zero fit the same and appear to use the same fabric. They are both fairly snug in the chest/torso, the 'Zero has rather generous sleeve length and both come down the hip - or just above the bottom of a slash front pocket opening. Some experimentation size-wise was needed at first. The Alpha fleece jacket in XL was too big. But works with a heavy sweater under. The other two Alphas I got sized to wear over a T-shirt and are both mediums. Sleeve length is OK as streetwear but to use the thumb slashes, the sleeves are a bit over a inch short. As mentioned, the Core vest, Sierra fleece and Summit Zero are all larges and are the best fit for me. I'm just under six feet, ~185 lbs.The vest and 'Zero and Sierra are all cut longer in back like a shirt tail. Reminds me of cycling gear and would double pretty well as mountain biking apparel. The vest and 'Zero shell use a different finer toothed YKK zipper than the Alphas and I think it will be more durable. IMO, Condor's gear is well made with good quality materials and design while offering excellent value for the price.

Best Tactical Jacket for the Money Hands Down!
This is an awesome jacket. The quality is outstanding. I originally purchased a 511 Sabre tactical jacket for well over $200. It was no where near the quality of this jacket and a size large fit like a child size small. I returned it and after reading reviews ordered this jacket. I could not be happier. I usually take a large, but went for the XL and it fits perfectly. It's plenty warm and comfortable even on fairly cold days by just adding a layer underneath like a sweatshirt or fleece. At first I wasn't digging that it doesn't have lower side pockets to put my hands in but after the first day of wearing it, I really didn't even notice. There are a number of pockets and I like that the side pockets have a cell phone pocket inside. I'm ex Air Force and like to display the patches of squadrons I served with on the Velcro loop patches on the sleeve. They are easily big enough to fit a US Flag and unit/squadron patch on either arm. I've only had this jacket a week and have already received several compliments on how good it looks and inquiries on where it can be purchased.
