I’m an 8.5 us should I get a 9 or 8?

I don’t understand why they recommend “upsizing”. I am 49 and wear an 8 1/2 woman’s. I’m tall and thin and probably have an average to perhaps very slightly narrow, but I’ve always bought regular shoes and they all fit perfectly. I tried on both the 8 and 9. I went with the 8 because I am a long time snow skiier and to me, it seemed like one would have better control with it on the more snug size than slightly too big size. Im restarting to learn again and basically a beginner inline skater, after 30 yrs of not having my original, deep purple expensive roller blades (thanks to my hubby getting rid of them without telling me! 😠 lol) , which I remember splurging to buy them in 91 or so (super bummed for a long time they were gone cuz we moved to an area that has a lot of flat paved area to skate on). Those skates which I loved were like a hard shell type more like a ski book but very comfortable and I felt like they were easy to control back then - I didn’t have a lot of wiggle room and preferred this. Now that I’m a young healthy 49 year old and have kids I just bought these to help get us started and me back in practice again. I’d rather they be tighter but not pinching my toes at the end of the boot, which the 8s are fortunately not doing. But maybe I’m just more old school and need to get better balance so that I feel more in control whether they are more loose or not? The good news is they are NOT pinching the ends of my toes but I did feel the toe box was slightly more “snug” width wise. Noticed the same with the Chicago low cut “Bullet Speed Skates”, which I decided I was a woman’s size 8 in as well (OR 6 in the mens - both worked so it was whether I wanted white and pink or black). But in EITHER skates (the inline rollerblades OR the Chicago Bullet Speed Skates, w 4 wheels), I could have gone with a 9 woman’s also vs the 8s! I think it kind of just depends on whether or not you are into more “comfort” than “performance”. Going with the bigger ones I’d definitely need to cinch things up as tight as I could to make it feel like my heel was going to stay securely in place and not lift up at all; plus I was concerned they might stretch larger slightly over time. But again the larger size 9 wasn’t bad at all, and we’re definitely comfortable. I’d say if you were a true 8.5 it’s kind of a toss up and just what would make you feel more mentally comfortable and competent!

This run true to shoe size and should fit well as size 9. If you shoes sizes range from 9 to 10 depending on the model you may want to go up to the size 10. if you are a solid size 9 then stick with that size. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I wear a shoe size 6, should I get a size 6 or 7?

My daughter wears size 5.5 tennis shoes. I ordered size 6 and it was too snug. I exchanged it for size 7. Size 7 was much better fit for her.

Where can I buy replacement wheels for these ? Owned 1 year and need new wheels.

That is great your wheels lasted one year!! You can buy wheels on Amazon for this skate. If you upgrade the wheels to the supreme wheels or hydrogen wheels you will get even more life out of them. this skate comes with 80mm wheels. Any 80 mm inline skate wheel will fit these.
