I've been buying these things for years. I throw them in the truck. I pack them in tubs. I loose parts and improvise. I've used nylon thread, cords, and ropes to attach them when I've ripped off a ribbon or snap. I have given them to my sons-in-law and away to hunting friends. They work fine for blocking the vast majority of rain under the fabric. Since it's attached to a tree and open below the canopy--which functionally only keeps your head and torso dry--I don't see how it can be rated lower unless it was damaged upon arrival or will not function (or it just plain leaks). . .
