Humax does the job for $75 dollars with tax and comes with a 2 year warranty against a one year warranty like Netgear. I bought the Humax docsis 3.1 to replace my 5 year old Netgear CM 1000/1200 (Costco model) Docsis 3.1 which finally started to die with randomly dropping the signal to my ISP Astound (Grande/RCN). Every other day from 11pm to 4am it would drop then reconnect and drop till I unplugged it at 6am. It got so bad when I did the unplug it reconnected with 0.25 download speeds till Astound sent a signal to it.To the Humax: It works with out issue. The only issue was the setup with Astound as the modem wouldn't self reboot with a signal sent but after a unplug and an update all has been smooth sailing for 24 hours. The comfort of a 2 year warranty has me not worrying if the modem should act up or suddenly die.

This item worked for a week now every time I want to use my computer I have to reset the modem. This item is junk. I would recommend going to Walmart and buying a better quality modem. Save yourselves and cancel your Amazon membership. It should be called Scamazon. They sell defective products and then refuse to stand behind them. You have lost my business. I will never buy from Amazon again. In addition I will do everything I can to encourage all my neighbors and friends to never never never use Amazon again. I am going to become a spokesperson for the anti Amazon movement.

I bought this modem to replace my old modem whose max speed was around 200Mbps. However, my Xfinity plan is 400Mbps. I received it on the second day after order was placed - super fast. I spent around 20 minutes to register this new modem in Xfinity network and easily installed it successfully.After 1 week run, the max speed is 439Mbps (around 10% higher than my plan) that really exceed my expect. Moreover, it works stably like a rock without any interruption. Till now, I am completely pleased with this product.I didn't contact their tech support, so I give them 4 stars. For Wifi signal and Easy to install, I give them 5 stars as I think it deserves.

Works great!

I bought modem as a replacement of my old Docsis 3.0 modem to take advantage my ISP's increased speeds. I immediately started experiencing buffering and internet drops. After several hours of investigation I determined the Modem was suffering from intermittent drops. Turning on the internal logs in the modem I was able to see the modem was resetting the Ethernet ports when the drops where being experience. I found no useful information on there web site. I received not response from customer care via Email. i ordered a replacement Modem no more drops.

This Modem has been steady with no problems. Provider is Astound and this modem is listed on their modemsupport Page. Great Buy. More than half the price of the other competitors. Once you call customer service toactivate with mac address all you need to do is a power cycle. Thats It enjoy.

Easy to setup. The only issues were with the former rocket scientist at Xfinity. After 45 minutes on the phone he appeared to have it working....Not the case. The only site I could reach was the Xfinity Login Page which forced me to register and config the device again.It has been working for a few weeks now with no issues.

I'm giving this a 1 star rating because of the misrepresentation of receiving a used item when the description of the item shows I should certainly be receiving a new, unused item.The modem itself is great and up and running at full speed with Spectrum after a quick phone call. This might be a time where I don't go through the hassle of trying to exchange it, but I will let this review stand as my compensation.
