An excellent dayhike mountain walking rucksack
I have been very impressed so far with the build quality, comfort and attention to detail of Osprey rucksacks, and in particular their Talon range. The back system is very comfortable and manages to strike a good line between ventilation and a close secure fit when scrambling. The mess side pockets easily accommodate a 1L nalgene bottle, and the mesh front pocket a laminated OS map. The top pocket is also a good size for a small first aid kit, hats & gloves. There is also climbing rope compressor under the lid. The materisls feel pretty sturdy, although I probsbly won't use the sack for climbing given the large areas of mesh on the outside which could easily get snagged. For general hillwalking, hiking and scrambling this sack is hard to fault.

Excellent quality
An outstanding rucksack, As someone who spends a lot of time in the great outdoors there are certainly rucksacks and good rucksacks, this comes into the latter and often Osprey win awards for their quality, and this is the third product I’ve bought from them and they are still going strong. The reason I bought it from Amazon rather than an outdoor shop was simply due to price as it was reasonable though some would say expensive however, I expect to still be using this for the next 30 years and probably handing it to my grandchildren by then.Very robust material which allows for top loading also has a back panel which allows for air flow to occur which is a nice touch. Because of its narrow construction it is comfortable for a multitude of activities from hiking, biking, commuting or overnight wild camps at 33l it can cope with quite a lot.

Best backpack I've had.
This back pack is great for lengthy or short day hikes.Easily holds what's required, warmkit, waterproofs, food, water and first aid etcIt has a specific place for a water bladder, I use 1.5 litre but it could fit a 2 litre bladder.Comfort and weight of the pack is second to none. The materials are strong and even though the dainty appearance of the strap and buckles may look like they could break easily this is not the case, even the mesh pockets are of good quality and strength. The price tag may seem steep to some but this is well worth the price and is my go to rucksack for hiking now!

Good design.
Love the brand. Had the same model from about 7 years ago. New version is lighter but finer details and some signs of quality dropped. Probably for cost saving. Bit of a shame as it’s the finer details for me that make it stand out. Still a nice backpack but cost should reduce if quality reduced really.

Reliable, exactly what you want from a ruck.
I adore this bag, 3 years later it's still going. Many of mountains and probably into the 1000 plus miles of hiking and still going strong. It's the perfect size for a well packed full day hike i whatever weather.Has many pockets for storage, especially the hip strap pockets ( great for the mini harribo packets)Got its own hydration pack pocket.Couldn't ask for more. I had this on my back for 22hours straight on one hike with zero complaints.

Comfortable and excellent design features
Wanted a pack for longer hikes with room but compact. The Talon 33 fit the bill perfectly. The Airscape system allows air to your back to you don't get too sweaty. Hip straps very comfortable and both them and shoulder straps fully adjustable. I didn't know what the stow as you go system was when I bought it but when I discovered it - it's awesome. I don't use poles all the time on a hike so being able to put them away without taking the pack off is so useful. Hip and shoulder pockets are decent to have quick to access small items like snacks, garmin, phone etc. Also fits a 2.5L hydration bladder perfectly with a clasp to hold it in position.Just did a 2 day, very steep, hike in Greece with this carrying everything I needed for the trip. I did use compression packing cubes to save space but everything fit and the pack was very comfortable throughout. It's not cheap in the slightest. But to be honest it's worth the money for comfort and design. You do get what you pay for.One warning - there is no raincover - it's sold seperately and have to pack it in the bag. Other, cheaper, bags include one tucked away in a base pocket. I'd drop a half a star for that but it's all or nothing with Amazon.Overall it's an excellent backpack and I'm going to get the 22L one for shorter hikes too. The raincover I bought separately will be used for both.

Comfortable but difficult to access and store items - can’t see very well inside
Very Comfortable when on back but not the lightest. Not waterproof. Difficult to access and store items because can’t see that well when packing ad it is a narrow body and only opens from top. When you add a water bladder inside even more constricted. Could do with a zip option where it opens up more widely for ease of packing (but a light weight waterproof one designed for hiking/climbing not city travel). For the price it could do with being fully waterproof or at least include a liner or outer cover for no extra charge because it is not cheap.
