A great study.
Very conversational. A discussion in Bible study. Coffee and Bible study. Great for all ages and Biblical knowledge. You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy

Good content and application, poor editing
This book, like the others I've read in the "Good Book" series, is extremely good at delivering solid information in a clear and concise format. It is deep without being too deep. A commentary like this is very useful after reading through the book of the Bible in question verse by verse with word studies and a very deep commentary. This book helps make practical application in today's environment after a deep study.I have to complain about the poor editing, though. There is a grammatical error on every other page, usually a missed word, but sometimes a missing parenthesis or improper sentence structure. It's technical but detracts from the book's message delivery.

Gospel Empowerment
This Easter it was difficult for me to feel real emotion. Worshiping at home and missing my local church is just not the same. I sometimes feel like my eyes have been covered, and we are all just in a state of drowsy sleep. In John 13-21 For You, Josh Moody helps us see God in all of his glory in the Gospel of John.God’s Word For YouGod’s Word For You is a series of books by The Good Book Company that seeks to take you to the heart of a book of the Bible and apply its truth to your heart. They attempt to be Bible-centered, Christ-glorifying, relevantly applied, and easily readable. I found this to be especially true of John 13-21 For You.This volume was written by Josh Moody, Senior Pastor of College Church in Wheaton, Illinois, and President of God Centered Life Ministries. These roles are appreciated, as he helps us see the profound power and humble love that exemplify Christ in his death and resurrection.GuideIn less than 200 pages, Moody gives us a guided tour of the book of John. We receive the promise fo the Holy Spirit, we feel the power behind Jesus saying that his kingdom is not of this world, and we are filled with joy at his resurrected appearing. As is fitting for our current situation of COVID-19, Moody helps us see the importance of the resurrection and what it means for us to live in light of it. The themes of sacrifice and dying to ourselves take on new meaning when we think about how it applies to us during these difficult days.ResourceWhat I appreciate most about this book series is the number of resources it has to offer. While it acts as a commentary, it can also be read as a devotional. Each section concludes with questions for reflection. These are usually personal application questions that are perfect for a small group study or Sunday School class. There is a glossary at the back of the book with words that are specifically related to the book of John. These terms include doctrine, firstfruits, regenerated, and sanctified. I received this book and John 1-12 as a set - and I highly recommend reading both to grasp the full picture of John’s Gospel.PassionThe Gospel of John ends with Jesus asking Peter if he loves him. There is a focus on love, feeding God’s sheep, and following Christ. It is a call to all of us as Christians, and when we see Jesus in his glory through the Bible and from this book, we are empowered to do the same.I received a media copy of John 13-21 For You and this is my honest review.

Good breakdown
Overall it is a good breakdown of John. However, the writer tends to say the same thing over and over and it gets a little redundant. Not my favorite author, but the overall content is good!
