Cat Mat with Catnip Cat Toy. Cat Scratching Post, Bed, Activity Play Mat (Purple)

My cat loves her mat so much!!! Check her out on instagram @littleblackkittykat . I couldn't get her to scratch anything that wasnt the sofa (granted I still have to keep her away from the sofa) but she scratches this little mat! And sleeps on it and plays with it. It's a dream come true for both me and her.

I like the look, and the cats LOVE it. Having said that, it's just the same material as the yoga mat I got for five bucks at five below, so I could've saved some cash.

Well my cats all immediately loved it, but then my cat destroyed the little ball on the string in a matter of minutes and tried to eat the little catnip filled teabag in it, I pulled it out of his mouth and got distracted for a few seconds and my other cat ate the whole catnip teabag, I hope it doesn't give him any GI issues such as a blockage. My cats do enjoy scratching it and does seem to hold up better than a be regular yoga mat. I suppose if your cat isn't an aggressive chewer like mine you might be ok with the ball on the string.

My cat loves to sit on squares and loved my yoga mat so I got her her own! She sits on it every day. She doesn't play with the ball connected to it but you can't win them all.

So this product is such a cute idea. Of course cats naturally do yoga though not necessarily on a mat. The brand logo stamped into it is a cute little kitty face.One end has a metal grommet in the center, and a large natural cord that is kind of rough, like Jute or hemp or something, is threaded through it. One end has a knot to hold it in place and extends a little bit past the edge of the mat, the other one goes into the wrapped natural fiber ball which apparently has the catnip inside. It looks like a little tea bag that is stuffed in there.I am giving this product four stars, because my cat just doesn't seem to be super into it. He seems to like sitting on it okay, but doesn't seek it out like he does other Fabrics or even random objects laying on the floor. He does like to play with the ball and cord, but doesn't seem that interested unless a human is moving it for him. He also doesn't seem that into the cat nip. I may see if I can stuff some of his other treats inside. However this really does not speak against the quality of the product, it is just the preference of my cat, but that's all I can really base the review on. I like the appearance and I think it is a nice size to designate as a cat space.My fiance is just dying for us to take it to the yoga studio for class and bring it in and set the cat down on it like it was something perfectly normal to do, but I don't know about that.Overall, it will probably depend on your cat. Maybe if it they got it younger as a kitten they would particularly like the texture, and some cats would probably like the toy part better than others.I did receive a discount on this product in exchange for promising to write a review of it.

I am the mom to three cats. Two of my cats live with my son, and one lives with me. She is a very finicky cat, so when I was asked if I would review the Original Yoga Cat Mat by Feline Yogi, I jumped at the chance. When it came, I put it down on the floor. Rheo did not seem too interested in it. Then, when I was not looking around for her, she jumped on the mat and had a ball playing with the attached wooden toy. Rheo never likes to play with balls, but evidently this one attracted her attention. She stayed on the mat for over two hours just playing and chasing the ball. She even sat down on it and watched the dogs run around the house. I really like that she has a place all her own that she feels comfortable sitting on. She defends her territory with the dogs quite a lot, and had to with this mat. The dogs wanted to be on it because it was new, but Rheo would not hear of it. It is made of a high quality plastic, just like my own yoga mat. She is able to scratch around on it without harming it at all. I do not even think that her sharp claws could put a hole in it. I also love the fact that the toy is attached to the mat. That way, I always know where it is when she feels like playing.
