I bought this for butcher paper, but I find it too thick to slice cleanly. Maybe the blade needs to be sharper for use with butcher paper.

I wish the edge of the retractable arm was serrated. A serrated edge would help make the paper cutting effort more manageable. I am currently using a 1000 foot paper roll. The thin paper has a tendency to rip and tear along the retractable arm instead of providing a clean cut. The manufacturer should also provide hex head bolts instead of the Phillips head screws for assembly. Difficult to tighten and torque Phillips head screws. I was really looking for a wall mountable Autobody paper dispenser but couldn’t find one so I Modified this paper dispenser by adding a masking tape arm. The assembly now dispenses masking tape along with the paper. The manufacturer might be able to sell a few thousand more if they would provide this option.
