Perfect Replacement
Bought this fan to replace one that failed after 20 years of continuous use. It was a perfect fit and the electrical hookup was simple.

Good while it lasts but QC issues w/ bearings
Fan was installed in April 2017 and started to make varying levels of noise - dependent on outside temperature - starting in early 2020. A recent cold snap in January 2021 raised the level of noise from "annoying" to "alarming". Three to four years of service seems short for one of these fans, particularly since I took every precaution recommended including RadonAway's Condensate Bypass kit. I ended up replacing the fan with a Fantech RN2X from a different supplier which rhymes with "Supply Mouse", which was about $20 cheaper. For those interested or the manufacturer (if they read these), I disassembled the fan to find out what went wrong. Interestingly, there was no apparent water incursion or corrosion to the motor itself. In fact, I was extremely impressed with the quality of the motor, which was manufactured by ebm-papst Group in Germany. Motor had a date code of "21/16" printed on it. This thing is <SOLID>, light years better than anything coming out of China. What was most interesting was it was the lower bearing which failed, not the top bearing (as one might expect from moisture incursion, and this bearing is completely isolated from the incoming air flow. It was an NSK 606D1 fully sealed (rubber shield) type manufactured in Indonesia. These things go bad, obviously, and maybe this one was just a dud. It's a shame that these units aren't serviceable, since the whole thing had to be junked for the sake of a $2 bearing.Recommended, with reservations.

WORKS GREAT - FAIRLY QUITE - NEEDS EXTRA PARTS TO ADAPT TO PIPES.
Just replaced a $30 year old Radio Fan that sounded like a JET taking off with this one. This unit only comes with bare wires ready to be wired but my old unit was converted to an AC plug. Luckily I was able to remove the old adapter and use it on this unit. Basically its just 3 wires positive, negative (essentially) and ground. Sadly RadonAway saved some cost by not including the grommet that goes in the hole where the cables come out, I used the one from my last unit which also worked perfectly. It just makes it looks nicer and cleaner rather than random wires and wire twists hanging out of the hole. This unit also doesn't come with pipe converters so make sure you get good thick rubber ones to change the size from 6 inches to 4 (in my case). Again my old unit was exactly the same so all the old parts were used with the new one. I also Silicon-ed the crap out of this thing as to prevent leaks etc.
