Lovely soft colours
Not as pigmented as some other watercolours (my impression), but it does layer and build beautifully. All single pigment so no mud in mixing. Very transparent, and I love the texture just out of the tube.

Really Good Value Trial Set
These are 12ml bottles and a range across multiple series (1-4). These are unique, they feel natural which is I guess why the Paynes Grey has a bit of a bizarre smell (it’s the only single pigment Paynes grey I’ve tried). Quite thick paint. Nozzle is a bit big so be careful of not squeezing too much out, that being said colors reset easily and a little goes a long way. I haven’t tried drying them in pan like form yet so can’t comment on that. These likely wouldn’t be my sole palette (though they very easily could be) as there are some mixes/hues that I like from competitors. I just need to find someone who wants to adopt me and get me the deluxe wooden box set now :)
